I was trying to play it off that is WAS an Artifact, but Daniel obviously thought it was simply a prop. He was explaining what he knew from the movie, which, so be it, happened to be 100% true because it was the real-deal. Am I explaining this properly?
Yes, you are. If you can change the 2 weeks to "was taken immediately to the Bureau, interrogated, and deemed a potential Agent", then we're all fine. He should have gotten some basic training too.
Edited it to match what you said, and made it clearer as to who said what.
Excellent. Accepted.
How many people are still making sheets?
@Stratofarios: How about a Restraining Bolt, to keep Raymond from lashing out against others within the Bureau, or from going agaisnt orders?

Name: Attics "Plucky" Marlowe
Age: 35
Appearance: Big (6' 8") and burly (241 lbs). Has a few tattoos that cloak his arms and upper back, including one of a giant tuna fighting an old fisherman on his tiny boat. Has relatively long blonde hair for a man, which he usually keeps in a short ponytail, although several strands undoubtingly escape and fall down in his face. A short and gruff beard completes his manly-man appearance. Attics' most unusual feature is that he's missing his right ear.
Personality: Attics is composed of 30% inspirational genius and 70% comic stupidity. He's rarely found without a smile on his face or making some sort of joke (many of which aren't in the best taste), which gave him the nickname "Plucky" back in the Marines. Plucky loves beer, his favorite being an original Sam Adams, and thanks to his build he can put away alot of it. He's not book smart, and strongly believes that whatever you can learn in a book, you can learn in real life...or in video games. He's a very big Legend of Zelda fan.
Attics is an excellent foot soldier but has failed to be promoted above Private because of his...issues with following orders. If he doesn't like the plan, he'll tell you to change it. If you don't change it, he won't follow it. Half the time he won't even listen to his commanding officers, which ends with results varying from minor victories to painful defeats. In the Bureau, Plucky has been explicitly warned that if he doesn't follow orders, he will be dishonorably discharged.
Equipment: Along with the standard Bureau ID and pistol, Plucky carries a standard M16 assault rifle which he uses as his primary weapon. In addition to this, he carries a M203 grenade launcher that attaches to his rifle. Needless to say, there is precious little ammunition for the grenade launcher, so he only uses it in emergencies or whenever he wants something to go boom. Finally, Attics carries a first aid kit that he almost always ends up using on himself, considering he gets shot a lot.
Skills: Before being transfered to the Bureau, Attics was a Private in the United States Marine Corps. As such, he was given training in a variety of small arms and various assault weapons such as the shoulder-launched multipurpose assault weapon (or SMAW). Pvt. Marlowe is also skilled at applying first aid, since he's had plenty of practice using it on himself.
Outside of combat, Attics knows a remarkable amount of knowledge on fish and ocean currents thanks to his family's fishing business. He can cook a lot of seafood, but don't expect anything fancy. As for the hokey-pokey, he'll hokey-pokey the sh#t outta you, so watch your back! >:D
Bio: Attics Marlowe was born and raised in Gloucester, Massachusetts. As the son of a fisherman, young Attics learned from an early age what life was like out at sea. By the time he turned fifteen, Attics was trusted to steer his father's fishing boat—the Maiden China—while the rest of the small crew dealt with the nets.
Attics was seventeen years old when the Bureau first entered his life. Two agents were in search of...something...off the coast and needed a local who knew enough about the waters to drive them to their destination in the middle of the night. The agents had originally asked Mr. Marlowe for help, and even offered a considerable amount for the trouble, but Attics' father refused on the grounds of "nobody wants to sail outta hahbuh at night for anythin' good." Attics however, was much more interested in the money than the morality, so in the dead of night he brought the agents out to sea so they could salvage a really heavy box. Attics parted with the agents the very next day, convinced that he'd just helped pirates.
A year later Attics graduated from Gloucester High School with mediocre grades. Since college was out of his financial means (and he hated the idea of more school), Attics decided to join the Marines. He did well as an assaultman but unfortunately had a problem listening to and/or following orders. He was about to be dishonorably discharged when a visiting Bureau agent noticed him. This same agent had been one of the treasure hunters Attics encountered years before, and it was this agent who pulled some strings to get "Plucky" into the Bureau. To this day, Attics still calls this agent "Cap'n," in honor of their first meeting when he mistook the agent for a pirate.
Other: Plucky always seems to have a new story for how his ear was cut off, and so far none of them seem to be true. The answers range from "it got shot off during a Taliban raid" to "I went through an artsy phase and wanted to be like Van Gogh."
Finally, Attics has a strong Boston accent, but for the sake of my grammer OCD (and the fear that I'll completely butcher it in writing), I'm not going to write phonetically. I assume many (if not all) of you have had a little exposure to the Boston accent, but if you haven't, there are plenty of videos on You Tube that portray it. Or you could just watch Good Will Hunting. Your choice.

Although, can you change it from child porn ring to just a gang who kidnaps children and uses them to get money
Sure, I can change it to just kidnapped children, as the case as grim as it is I intend to be the plot of the second novel I write if the first one takes off, but we don't need to go into detail here. And since you asked to tone it down I thought of a little extra to add to Emily in how she doesn't like dark and gritty, how much more dark and gritty can you get than such a case? She's a hypocrite to explain the case (the details won't be elaborated on in story) and then condemn when that material is used in her beloved hobby. I think that might be an interesting character trait, if somewhere her playing games is brought up or the case is brought up to highlight it.
Currently reading up My Rule Fu Is Stronger than YoursGUYS. We need to have a containment breach style episode. It must be done.
UhAlrighty.
@Theodore: Accepted!
@Musik Maestro: Old Henderson what?
@kkhohoho: I'd prefer if you adapted the character so that he didn't need a Restraining Bolt. And I keep asking myself why would they get him if he needs a restraining bolt.
I'm going to put a limit on players... how many people are making their sheets?
@Stratofarius: Edited the character's Personality section. Now, he's bound by obligations. If he makes a commitment, or feels that he owes somebody something, — such as the Bureau letting him live, or letting him see the Getter Robo — he'll commit himself 100& to whoever he owes, until they let him off. This means that Raymond doesn't need a restraining bolt, because he'll do whatever the Bureau tells him to do, no questions asked, and he won't so much as touch his fellow operatives either. Does this work?

We should have the Ice King's crown as an Artifact at some point in the game, it seems like it would mesh well with the theme of the RP.
Who?
I'll remake the bio and resubmit mine.
If you are looking for a prize in the box, their is none. Only more cardboard.I see it now: Gunther falls out of the sky, and hand delivers the crown to the warehouse.

UhI automatically second any Adventure Time objects being put into this RP.
The Enchiridion? Those gems in the crowns?
(I haven't seen all the AT episodes yet, my girlfriend got me hooked on the series a few weeks ago and I'm trying to catch up in between other shows and school)
Additionally, Finns's hat?
UhAh. I haven't seen a single second of that show, and the only thing I really know is the the name, and a vague recollection of reading the TV Tropes article.

Incidentally, what would the player limit be? Surely only 6 characters would make this boring.
@kkhohoho: Much better! Accepted.
@Ulqahart: That'd be excellent.
@Adventure Time: 'Fraid I haven't watched that episode too.
@Truth Hurts 22: It certainly wouldn't be six. Maybe ten, or eleven. I do know some fellas (Bindle) still have to post their sheets... is anyone making one?
I'm working on one.
Thanks.
I was thinking of making a character too, but borrowing a lot of characteristics from a sign up profile for an RP I was in, but that ended up dying pretty early on. Would that be okay? Also, if we don't get accepted into the RP, could we still suggest artifacts?
Oh, that makes more sense. But for him, it's just a book, right? A prop from the movie?
There is no process: they just take you in if you know about an Artifact and then determine if you have what it takes to be drafted.
