The call of the wild compels them...
My dog didn't react to the wolves in Zootopia, but he does get angry whenever we try watching 101 Dalmatians.
In case it's not been posted yet:
Yup, pretty much sums it up.
I personally find the original, opposite versions more entertaining, even if I like the film they're reviewing. xD
As someone who despises Cinema Sins with the deepest fiber of my being, I'm gonna have to disagree there. But I feel like I've already told you this.
I agree with ya there, never been the biggest fan of Cinema Sins, with the exception of their videos about the movies that were really bad.
Oh sure, they point out a lot of dumb stuff, but they also point out things that you either didn't think of and/or is just hilarious. My favorites were "too many "bunnies love sex" jokes" and "Try everything is a dangerous message; even prostitution and needle drugs?"
The latter is just being pettily pedantic though.
Forever liveblogging the AvengersBeing pettily pedantic is kind of their modus operandi.
Ceterum censeo Morbillivirum esse eradicandum.Even for them though.
Forever liveblogging the AvengersYeah, Cinema Sins is both a critic thing and a comedy thing. Their videos are equal part "petty, inconsequential nitpicking" and "legitimate concern"
The troubling part is when their "joking nitpicks" and "legitimate concerns" can't be told apart, leading to instances where a joke wasn't a joke but was just their own lack of paying attention.
Exactly this.
That said, I always thought Cinema Sins was pretty harmless until their Zootopia video. Now I hate them. So maybe I'm just a bit biased. :\
Zootopia is my favorite movie, and my biggest problem with the CinemaSins video was that they missed a couple of nitpicky errors that I already knew about.
Well, some of us are okay with pretentious, douchey nitpicking, and some are not. I fall squarely into the latter category. It's a matter of taste i suppose, but I just don't see the entertainment value in being intentionally petty. :/
People like to discuss the problems/negativity of stuff I suppose? The channel has six million subs so they must be doing something right. Anyways, I'm personally able to enjoy them because I don't take them too seriously. Better to laugh at the potential flaws of a film than refusing to accept it has them. People who still dislike them has a good alternative with Honest Trailers.
What did Cinema Sins say about Zootopia?
Have you any dreams you'd like to sell?Basically what they normally do, pointing out some plot holes while ignoring things that explain them, cracking jokes and whatnot.
I think this well-summarizes why I don't like them. I can't stand people who find "flaws" just because they weren't paying enough attention (or rather, paying too much attention to shit that doesn't really matter instead). It falls under the same banner as Let's Players who blame the game for their own incompetence. -_-
I think this video is a pretty example of showing why Cinema Sins isn't great at their job. It's half an hour long, so there's no need to watch the whole thing, but basically they explain the obvious answers for some nitpicks while pointing out more reasonable sins that could've been called out instead, such as occasional Special Effects Failures. The more important part is after 31 minutes, where they talk about the CS Jeremy channel where Jeremy gives seemingly more serious reviews but they turn out to have just as much inattentiveness and nagging as the main CS videos do.
"Dude, don't raid my wardrobe."
Forever liveblogging the AvengersIn my heart I just know that there's no way to light up the dark in his eyes...◊

It's definitely something I've seen before and not just with Zootopia. But it's so cute.
