George is about MUCH more masculine name than Ashley is feminine.
George is about 98% masculine, while Ashley is about 70% feminine.
I think this is fine. George is pretty masculine, and George is clearly bugged by the name BEING gender-bender-y.
EDIT: Though it fits Tomboyish Name better. Really, it's Girly Name that NEEDS a new image. Jesus.

As far I know, George isn't really a gender-bender name. I've seen it used for girls in fiction quite a few time(Nancy Drew, for example). I think it's more unisex, like Sam or Chris/Kris.
If someone has a panel from a Evil Dead comic where he actually introduces himself as Ashley Williams, that might be good.
