23 > Schlock IMO
Moon◊Actually not sure which I prefer.
Check out my fanfiction!I like 23 with Mario.
The second Schlock example (last panel) > 23
Crowner, or does anyone want to come with a different suggestion?
Check out my fanfiction!Yes. That's much clearer than the rotated Yoshi pic, imho.
Rhetorical, eh? ... Eight!Rotated?
Check out my fanfiction!I'd say crowner.
And no, that Yoshi pic's not rotated.
It's not a rotated pic of a yoshi, but a pic of a rotated yoshi :) by which I mean that he's not right-side-up. Anyway my point is that the Schlock image is instantly clear to me, whereas for the yoshi pic I have to stare several seconds to realize what's going on, and then I'll have to take your word for it that he's not just eating the flower. So that's why I prefer the Schlock picture.
Rhetorical, eh? ... Eight!I think the rotation is what makes it clear. If he was just eating it, he'd be upright.
Check out my fanfiction!^ Or it's a platformer and he's eating something while jumping. So far, I like 32 the most.

...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.I like @32.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard Feynman32 does demonstrate.
And so does that Yoshi pic.
Besides, I'd assume Yoshi's swinging on the flower BECAUSE of the rotation.
It would be common sense to be at least upright in order to eat something, and not rotating at an angle, unless you're interpreting that as him being the type who LOVES food and is willing to gobble everything up no matter the cost (I'd assume he'd need to either be fat or look very hungry in order for that to be true). He's also not in a pose that would partake him into twisting his body in order to aim for the flower like that (and Mario DEFINITELY doesn't have Limited Animation).
I can actually see him at least holding on to the flower swinging, especially if you look closely at the tongue (you can see that it's bent slightly).
If you're going for 32 to see that it's clearer, then go for it.
I seriously think there needs to be a crowner.
I also agree that 32 is the best. While both of them do give a taste of what the trope's about, 32 gets the point across quicker, and is slightly more aesthetically interesting.
Bigotry will NEVER be welcome on TV Tropes.I'm with 32 for the same reasons as .
Image Source. Please update whenever an image is changed. If you only have that frame of 32, people might think she's saying thanks because of her firing skills, not the fact that she took out a guard and grabbed the gun from him (I think she's saying thanks either for the compliment that was cropped out or for the gun she took from the guard).
While that might not be a problem, I'm worried that it demonstrates the trope but not the actual context.
Using a gun with her tongue is still an example, and the context problem can be solved with a link to the actual strip.
I know it's still an example, but shouldn't the context be in the picture and not in the caption? (making this as a similar problem to Weblinks Are Not Examples when it comes to knowing the context of the picture).
I think there needs to be the frame before that one, in addition for the narration at the top, so that one knows what she's saying thanks for.
The page image is there to illustrate the trope, and #32 does that no matter what the context is. The fact that she's saying "thanks" is irrelevant; the frame illustrates the trope (Prehensile tongues used for things other than bringing food to the mouth), and would do so even if the speech bubble was painted out.

...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.I still don't know.
While I agree with you that it demonstrates, taking it out of context might deceive others who don't know the work into thinking that she shot another, instead of actually taking it from another person.
The word "Thanks" might give an hint, but without the context showing in the picture, I'm afraid that might be ambiguous.
... huh? What does context have to do with anything? In any case, it has a gun, and is holding it in its tongue. Doesn't matter what it's saying thanks for in the slightest. It's about as far as ambiguous as you can get.
