Needs Help: Casual Danger Dialog

Id like to suggest this picture of the Spartans from Horrible Histories. I think it conveys the 'casual' part better than the current image.

Not bad, but the aspect ratio's kinda screwy.

(For some reason I thought this was the "I'm cooking eggs." "I like an egg on occasion." Mexican Standoff one. Apparently that's Gunpoint Banter. Okay.)

Apart from the fact that it's 300, I have no idea - partially, because I do not know the work.

The trope already has an image, shown below, which I think is actually better than the suggestion.

Rhetorical, eh? ... Eight!

The suggestion shows two people talking causally to each other while in the middle of a fight. The current is a bit too busy and I can't clearly see the casual dialogue aspect.

This picture shows Spartans, hence the idea for a Three Hundred reference.

I think 5 has the edge, mainly because it's more obvious that the banter has no relation to the battle.

The current has action going on. It's kind of clear someone gets punched, but the business of the image doesn't help. The Horrible Histories one has a battle. It's also rather busy, but almost all weapons point towards the somewhat clearer centre, which immediately brings your attention to them being the targets of everyone else. Also, they're showing very casual expressions and body language about it.

The current has a lot of text. You need to read it to understand what it's about. It's not clear until the second or third bubble it has nothing to do with the battle. The HH one has little text you can read at a glance, and it's immediately obvious they're catching up on things unrelated to the battle.

Summa summarum, the HH suggestion is better due to illustrating the casual aspect, and it's is much clearer on the text. It wins all three of Clear Concise Witty.

One of my deciding factors is how quickly an image can get the point across. The current takes a little long to read. The OP is bad quality, so that gets in the way, but 5 is perfect. Crisp, clear, and to the point.

I think Rethkir said it best. 5 gets the point across so much quicker than the current. It's straight to the point without sacrificing humor. It has my vote.

Good enough. The new pic's up, potholed, and tagged. Caption or no? I'm thinking a 300 reference would be good but I've got nothing right now suggestion-wise.
