The thread should be renamed, though.

I got a very strong Escape from New York vibe from this story.
I also found it interesting that Batman made me laugh a lot more than the Joker. The Comically Serious Understatement of everything, his impossible self-confidence that he'd be able to solve everything and beat every situation, when without other characters' help he'd have probably died...
The Joker on the other hand... well, to be honest, the Nolan version and The Joker Blogs version were the only ones that really made me laugh. This joker's not very witty, he just keeps using more and more sophisticated versions of Terms of Endangerment around the theme of Faux Affably Evil; he seems especially fond of play-acting family relationships and things related to hospitality. He never play-acts friendship, for instance.
Everyone felt... well, very canonical, but very flat, too. Somehow it feels like they lack a spark, like they've given up and are only going through rituals out of habit and a sense of obligation, rather than because of clear immediate goals that they actually hope to accomplish.
Also, in Selina's case, Muscles Are Meaningless: she can lift a six foot burly guy up in the air, with her legs, and strangle him, and all so dexterously as to not make a sound? The previous paragraph also applies to her constant flirting; it's like she's doing it on reflex rather than out of genuine mischief.
Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.
