Sonic Boom - The new Sonic cartoon

Is it me or Knuckles's story can be interpreted as a nostalgia over his past life. 1 He was taken seriously (early games) 2 He could fly (glide) 3 He had a superform (Like in Sonic 3 & Knuckles) 4 He had love interests (Rouge, if you count comics, Julie-Su) 5 He had important job (Guardian of Master Emerald)

Maybe that's why this is a do-over. To explain how he overcame himself.

Turns out Knuckles is imagining the whole Sonic Boom verse as a more lighthearted take on how he wants to live.

Because of the episode, I think in Knuckles imagination either he was hoping for a threesome, or Sticks and Amy just got real fond of each other.

Sticks is Amy's best friend even though that never really shows.

So does this make it canon that Knuckles is attracted to Amy and Sticks, then?

Knuckles is a pimp, he want them all.

That does come through some in My Fair Sticksy. It's got to say something that Sticks valued Amy's advice enough to do something completely opposite to her behavior.

And was I the only one picking up on a little somethin'-somethin' between Eggman and that walrus?

I was too busy thinking about Rotor when I saw the walrus, up until his preference to shady activities.

I was actually going to bring up My Fair Sticksy about Knuckles in my post but... Eh-heh, maybe I'll just put it asside as fan wank.

That episode really comes back to my mind as one of the best besides the one with the guilt giving tribe and the one where Robotnik Uses Amy as a decorator.

Two Ho Yay scenes in the series so far, and both come from Eggman.

Interesting...

The walrus thing has to be a nod to Eggman's origin. One of the early designs for Baldy Mc Nosehair had him as a walrus, so it would make sense he'd find himself to be attractive as such. Plus the Sega staff were likely thinking of I am the Walrus when they thought of the name and early concept design.

So I just finished watching the latest eppy and... it was pretty good. I loved Knuckles' fantasy segment in particular.

Think Robotnik has Princess Peach's umbrella powers?

Her umbrella would've withstood Knux's attack, so no.

Knuckles' fantasy was easily the high point of that episode. I just about lost it when he inexplicably flew into space.

Knux blasting off into space is apparently a reference to an actual glitch somebody found in the game.

Specifically a Good Bad Bug that allows Knuckles to fly by pausing the game mid jump

Is that a reference? Were these episodes made before or after the video game came out?

That sounds more Hilarious in Hindsight than an intentional reference.

One of the writers said it makes the glitch canon on twitter.

Is it just me, or does the comic have a whole lot more FandomNods than the TV show?

This just makes me wish Blaze and Rouge were in this series as well. And naked.
