I really don't expect historical accuracy, I mean, it IS an acceptable break. Hell I think that is why they kept using Motonari instead of letting someone succeed him, or make him forever alone and defy his most famous anecdote of three arrows by making him a complete asshole. But sometimes, you have to remember that SB producer likes to LIE. They claim since SB 3, they want more historical accuracy, but... yeah, aside of the Hondam stuff, we still have Motonari in Sekigahara. It's gotten to the point that it's more like these characters are evolving to other characters than just the historical character, or more like a brand new character 'based on' said historical character. But seriously, I'm OK with them.

There's a lot of all-girl Sengoku media, and I was fine with them (As in, not even bothering). Because of one thing: They have made their goal clear from the beginning, it's going to be an all-girl Sengoku, don't expect male or historical accuracy.

Basara on the other hand, looks like it is going to be a little more balanced, though boys get the best deal, I was okay with it, and did like some designs like Oichi or Maggie. But then this comes, the Word of God claiming that 'there won't be a girl, they're at home'. This just hits Unfortunate Implications to me, more than just the philosophy of Stay in the Kitchen (which may actually something that was incidentally more accurate historically, majority of women did not fight back in those days), but for the fact that if they know this is how they're going to turn out, why would they create those female characters in order to attract the Het fans... only to throw them away and given a middle finger by making it all boys in Yukimura-Gaiden?

Should've been more blatant in the earlier and use this in as early as the first series: "All guys, motherfucker."

Also, I prefer Masamune's old blue outfit than his new white.

Maybe if this were SB 5 I could see where you're coming from, but since this is a gaiden-game that's more than likely not even going to impact the main series, I'd say your overreacting a little. Yeah it's annoying the females are getting tossed aside, but at the same time SB is mostly known as a Cast Full of Pretty Boys, so they're probably just giving fujoshi some fanservice.

Maybe it's just me lacking some trope definitions, but I wouldn't say it's Cast Full of Pretty Boys, really. Masayuki, Shingen or even Nobunaga, they're not ones you'd say 'Pretty Boy'. Shingen would find more home in Bara. Usually as much as they give fanservice for the fujoshi, they always leave a room for at least The Smurfette Principle even at Gaiden games, this was the case of Sengoku Basara X, though that was a kusoge.

So this one is probably a case of Chromosome Casting.

Now they just take it to another level to the point I felt like they're just spiting on the het fans. Pleasing the fujoshi is one thing, but there should have been ways to do it without pissing the others... unless they make it clear that the fujoshis are their main target market. And from the look of it, they are making it clear.
