Puppet Critic and the Foldable Human.
I can't have you close, so I become a ghost and I watch you, I watch you.A recent Facebook post of his:
"Just saw Man of Steel. I will keep my opinions quiet for now, but know that I will do a Bum Review on it, a Sibling Rivalry as well, and when it comes to DVD...a Nostalgia Critic.
yyyyyyyyyyyyyyyeah..."
Can't say I blame him. Nolan is occupying that space in my mind of "overhyped directors" along with Joss Whedon and J. J. Abrams. And Brandon Sanderson, but he's an author and I dislike him for completely different reasons.
But that's a story for another time.(All big directors are "overhyped", in their own time. I just try to see past it. After all, an auteur is a better pick tan a studio monkey.)
I'm a skeptical squirrelChristopher Nolan produced Man of Steel, Zack Snyder directed, YMMV on whether that's better or not.
I can't have you close, so I become a ghost and I watch you, I watch you.Whedon is still pretty damn good. Just keep him in franchises where he can't kill off half the cast just because. Abrams and Nolan, yeah I don't really get the hype. Nolan had a massive hit with the first two Batman'sm but that's it, and I have yet to see an Abram's film I liked. His TV Series, those are awesome, films... not so much IMO.
... Ughhh
You guys honestly can't see an Old vs New coming a mile away?
...... Oh God.
I don't get why people like J.J. Abrams so much, he's not particularly good at storytelling, and it's not like he doesn't have a particular directing style either (lens flare notwhistanding), honestly I find his movies rather simmilar to the ones made by Len Wiseman or Zack Snyder, except less stupid than the former and more coherent than the latter.
I can't have you close, so I become a ghost and I watch you, I watch you.EDIT: Oh dear the ninjas!

But that's a story for another time.I have a terrible feeling that Doug's problems with the movie stem from it not being the original Christopher Reeve films.
The last hurrah? Nah, I'd do it again.I don't know, I've been hearing some other people complaining about the movie, and said complains aren't related to the Reeve Superman movies.
I can't have you close, so I become a ghost and I watch you, I watch you.I wish I knew more about this movie so I could guess what he might be angry at. All I know is that they kill General Zod. Is that different from other continuities?
Looking for some stories?I know my disinterest in the movie is due to how DC heroes movies have been consistently missing the point of the characters for a while now.
Just about every continuity I think. Superman doesn't do that. Batman goes crazy it takes maybe a dedicated force to bring him down. Superman falls down that slippery slope and we kiss our asses goodbye.

But that's a story for another time.Tell me about it. And it's not as though DC fans are, y'know, hard to please. 10 seasons of Smallville can testify.
I'm a skeptical squirrelI've come to associate DC with dark, brooding superheroes, so I'm not very interested in their stuff. Outside of the backstory and the basic details, I know nothing about Superman.

Looking for some stories?I said movies, not television series. Don't have an interest in Smallville.
But that's a story for another time.Which is really odd as that used to be Marvel's shtick.
You're kinda missing my point.... >__>
I'm a skeptical squirrelYeah other then Batman most of DC's cast are a lot brighter and happier, while Marvel tends to be the angstier of the two.
nyo ho hoReally? I wouldn't have guessed that from the recent movies.
Looking for some stories? You weren't being sarcastic and pointing out how the success of an acclaimed TV series to rebuke my point?
Sorry. Guess I did misread your post in the most negative light possible.
But that's a story for another time.Except with Nu52, where DC is trying its damndest to make the stories as 90s Marvel as they can.

What's with all these people linking to Foldable Human videos lately? Is Dan having an unexpected upsurge of popularity on this site or what? Not that he doesn't deserve it, but I had literally never heard of him until a few days ago on another thread.
To keep this on-topic, a crossover between the Nostalgia Critic and the Foldable Human would be all sorts of Crazy Awesome.
But that's a story for another time.
