Actually the A.'s are apparently other beings taking the form of demons they've fought and encountered. Pretty clear when A. Beelzebub shows up despite being Polytheistic in IV/Apocalypse.
Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession.Well, like I said they're all in YHVH's thrall so it wouldn't matter what they were affiliated with initially.
No you misunderstand. They aren't those beings if they have A. in the name. They only like the them because A Form You Are Comfortable With. Only the angels and the Lucifer and Merkabah that fuse into Satan are the real ones.
Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession. That's not what I've heard. Again, this is why I need the translation yesterday! And Lucifer and Merkabah do have A. in their names for those fights, actually.

Exactly. It's simply the A. manifesting as Lucifer and Merkabah. The A's don't have dialogue. Not even in those boss fights. The real ones do talk as we see when they fuse.

Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession.Stealing Knowledge has been talking about the concept of "absolute monotheism," namely that a truly omnipotent being would obviously control both good and evil, which Apocalypse seems to take a lot of its philosophy from and which is explicitly stated in the Old Testament by the way.
Yet YHVH isn't absolute and never has been. It works for IV/A though since both really pushed the Not So Different angle. The artbook goes into it in better detail too with the Law/Chaos dungeon being based on the opposite alignment.
Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession. He's trying to be truly omnipotent, though, and Gnoticism doesn't say the Demiurge isn't powerful in his home turf of the material.
I sure said that!Well, I know that Megaten!YHVH is not technically omnipotent, but that doesn't mean His role in the game isn't based on Absolute Monotheism.
Any release date news or anything from E3?
Not yet, as far as I know.
So the Atlus Reddit representative said it's likely we'll get the release date this week!
Hopefully we won't have to wait until September...though I won't complain too much if we do.
I don't mind September too much since I've still got to finish Fire Emblem Fates and Bravely Second, while Zero Time Dilemma and 7th Dragon are coming out soon...plus September's also gonna have Dragon Quest VII and Ace Attorney 6 soooo...things are going to be busy.

You're looking forward to 7th Dragon as well? Awesome!
I'll admit, the biggest reason why I don't want Shin Megami Tensei IV: Apocalypse to come out in September is because I'll probably be too busy playing Yo-Kai Watch 2.
Weren't we supposed to get a release date sometime this week? I checked Amazon and it's still listed as Sep 20th.
u/atlusprime said they couldn't announce because reasons, but hope to be able to this week/soon

Dijeh and Stealing knowledge will be uploading the concept designs from Apocalypse. Already uploaded some like Satan, Bearded red living Dagda, YHVH, Inanna, etc.
Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession. Some of those early designs looked better IMO, particularly Dagda, who's fat and has a big club, just like in the myths. Stealing Knowledge speculates it was rejected because it wasn't Persona-y enough, but you know how he gets.
I suspect some of it is just plain, boring ol' growing pains, honestly. Doi is a worthy successor to Kaneko but (of course) he's not as experienced with demon design as him.
I sure said that!Doi can definitely be Kaneko-ish when he wants to; Adramelech in particular demonstrates this.
Well that would explain why you can't negotiate with any of them.
