That inverted fate was hilarious. I'm sure there were a few references I didn't get in the anime; I only got the jokes about the Sailor Moon and Dragonball Z dubs (and plots). I'm certain there were one or two other specific series being lampooned there. (The date itself was funny too).

Amusingly enough the bowdlerized dub of Tokyo Mew Mew made one scene more gay.

CountofBleck: ... Interesting, sure. But it also reminds me much of why I could never get into Dogs of Future Past. Despite having solid art and ideas that feel worthy of exploration, there's just so much that's obvious, overwrought, and heavy-handed about its author's execution. Especially in terms of writing.
