Yeah if Genocide was to be as unfun as it's supposed to the boss fights shouldn't be there because that's going to attract all the challenge players.
Although in some ways that also works towards the deconstruction aspect of the route so, I guess it still works well enough.
people who just want to fight even more of an anime heroine!undyne and sans might as well dig up a simulator by this point theyre not the same but theyre getting there
moved to Oceanstuck because this handle was starting to bother me my tumblrI haven't seen a simulator for Undyne yet but Bad Time Simulator is pretty much as close as it can get for a Sans simulator.
Boy, is this game complicated.
Look, I entered Undertale heavily spoiled. I knew stuff about bunch of important stuff (like final fight details) before even that game was crazy popular everywhere..
So I know that Genocide run will ruin my file. Sure, ok. I mean, chances are most sane people will find out about this stuff anyway way before they decide to kill literally every single monster in game out of curiosity.
But I finished my first playtrough and though I'll reset now and let my brother do one too...only for game to tell me ominously that "the name was already chosen" and then reveal that Flowey is missing. And after doing some research, it seems not only there will be bunch of references to old playtrough, but also I have to do Peaceful Ending in order to full cleanse the game. Goody.
And yeah, second playtrough isn't the worst fate ever...but honestly I don't feel like that much like doing it already. Most of gameplay value to me comes from different choices rather then replaying puzzles and fights. And I will have to fight to get money for healing items...(and yes, I tried reset resetting game using tutorials online but nothing works)
Or if you want to be really Exact Words about it, taking a murder run to the very end deletes the same data as a True Reset (though it does create that one special thing that's an Open Secret by now).
she her hers hOI!!! i'm tempeNo way to fight Undying without actually doing the thing? Think again
That involves messing with save files and stuff and then if you decide to do something else in the game you have to go through the process of putting everything back in place again.
Significantly more troublesome to do than simply clicking a link
Well if it helps, the pacifist ending is really good and I highly recommend going through it. I don't think fights would be too much trouble since you already know how to dodge everything.
Somebody has a much more comprehensive batch of save files on Reddit. https://www.reddit.com/r/Undertale/comments/3szvui/my_undertale_save_files/
Belatedly, cheers Bocaj for that link to the collected Greaser Frisk comic. It was great to read the whole thing :)

First I've ever heard, certainly which is really odd, I realize in hindsight. Nice job!
Thanks! I'm proud of what I did with the bass line.
I've heard a Thunder Snail remix before but yours is pretty cool too!
Nice. The Thundersnail song needs more love.

I have a dream... that one day, one of the links in Bocaj's wall of links will be something related to my AU idea.
Found this a while back, thought I'd share.
That's quite well made. I like the mix of both games' HUDs
* The game is confused on whether or not it should call your actions an act of pacifism or genocide.
"Yeah, it's a shame. Here we are in an underground cave with all these lasers, and instead of having a rave we're using it for evil."Hard Mode soulless-pacifist-specific boss fight
Also, I got the SJW To Skeleton extension and it makes browsing particular sides of Reddit look like bad undertale fanfic

Careful if you start editing the wiki with that. May screw up legit entries, and mods don't like it when silly text pluggins get in the way
And regarding a potential situation for that theme, here's a silly thing that came to mind
Even with all of their power, the human can't confront the empowered Flowey one-on-one. In desperation, they call out for help from the trapped SOULS.
* ...
* ...
* But nobody came.
Overwhelmed by Flowey's relentless attacks, the human falls, only their lingering soul remaining in front of Flowey.
"No more games this time! Your SOUL is MINE!!!"
Maniacal laughter echos in the void as the red SOUL is slowly absorbed by Flowey.
...
The game quits without warning, leaving behind only the Desktop; not an unfamiliar situation. Mouse clicks and movement follow, and before long it becomes obvious that the computer is not responding. In the midst of frustrated clicks and button presses, three high-pitched dings resonate in the speakers, followed by a computerized female voice.
"Threat has been detected."
The screen goes completely black, and soon a familiar figure manifests in the darkness, shrugging and winking mockingly as haunting music plays.
"Did you REALLY think it was OVER!?!?"
"I meant what I said, my friend. I'm using these SOULS to recover the power that was taken from me."
"But there's still one loose end left, and I'm not letting it get in my way anymore..."
A white heart flashes in the middle of the screen, and text flashes on the corner.
BIOS CORRUPTED
"Even if it means eliminating YOU!!"
TL;DR: I'm sure Toby would've made the game fuck with your computer if he knew he could get away with it without being sued.
If I had the technical know-how, I would totally try to give it a shot at making an Undertale-themed virus like that. Malware can make some crazy stuff if the creator's up to it.
"Yeah, it's a shame. Here we are in an underground cave with all these lasers, and instead of having a rave we're using it for evil."I set up Extension Automation to turn off all my word-replacement extensions when I'm editing a TV Tropes page. And also including a virus in the game is a terrible idea and you should not make one

That is honestly a pretty awesome scene to consider. Imagine if someone animated that, oh man

This reminds me of the thing where its hard to do an anti-war movie or game because war looks cool.
Undertale nearly side steps that problem but some people still play through Genocide just for Undyne the Undying and Sans. Though that also gets folded into the criticism I guess.
