it seems that Nintendo and Sega's partnership could very well be a long-term thing for Sonic games. In short, Sony and Microsoft fans could very well miss out on the franchise for a while.

Looks like I'ma have to get a Wii U for this. It also looks like I'll have some time to get some money saved up, so hopefully I'll be able to get one by the time the game comes out.

The whole game turns out to be a Deep-Immersion Gaming sequence on an elaborate tabletop roleplaying game, using a hex grid setup. Robotnik is allowed to be the DM

I know there isn't much to go on, but Nintendo just announced this exclusive Sonic game.
There was a screenshot. I'll try to get it when it's available elsewhere, but it looks like some sort of hollow spherical world divided into sections like ice, fire and so on, suspended in the middle of the sky. Sonic and Tails were flying there on the Tornado.
