I suppose you are right. I had seen some characters who are just angry like Sasuke and Ragna.
"Eratoeir is a Gangsta."Interesting that you bring up Ragna, since Ryuko shares several similarities with him.
I forgot all about that.
"Eratoeir is a Gangsta."Not Really. Like it's said, she's blatantly more Shadow the Hedgehog then Ragna.
See this:
Ragna himself is already Vash from Trigun meets Sol Badguy, anyway.
Watch SymphogearWell Ragna's interesting since he's also a massive subversion of a stereotype, namely the '90s Anti-Hero :V
Trust me when I tell you he's nothing like his design or name would imply.

A lazy millennial who's good at what he does. For one he's a cat person.
He's terrified of ghosts. His brother ... has issues.
Correction: his whole family has issues.
And he also hates to dine and dash.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.Ragna, the name sounds familiar but I can't recall who that is right now.
"That's a to-go order. See! It's already gone!!"The protagonist from Blaz Blue.
A corpse should be left well enough alone...Ah.
"That's a to-go order. See! It's already gone!!"Wow that fight scene in episode 3...whew.
I really don't get some of these characters' running gags though. Like why does the teacher strip down when explaining stuff? Why is everyone okay with the dad being a weird molester? Sometimes this show feels pervy for the sake of being pervy, kind of like how later Family Guys would add gore for no reason.
The stripping actually gets explained latter, at least.
It's surprisingly important, at least in some respects.
I sure said that!Well, mostly. We never get a full explanation for why he constantly feels the need to strip; no one else from Nudist Beach does that. Really, the surreal nature of the whole thing is part of the joke. Why else would his nipples and crotch glow?
Because that's the only way to keep the censors happy.
"Yup. That tasted purple."It is also best not to take too seriously, Trust me, it helped me out with some Gainax and Trigger anime. Say what you will abut Eva but Imaishi's stories are even more screwy than Evangelion and this is Evangelion we are talking about.
"Eratoeir is a Gangsta."He's a very beautiful man. He's also an exhibitiionist.
Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.Is the 25th episode/OVA included in the part 3 English DVD/Blu-ray release?

I can't speak for the US release but in Australia it was released on Volume 5 of the BD and a lot of the time, the Australian release is piggy-backing off the US release so odds are good.
I thought the line was "I gotta find out who killed my dad!" She re-did it as "I gotta fight but it hurts so bad!"
-nod- Some of that charm is lost, but.
I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!Well here we f'cking are.
She still changes the "I gotta find out who killed mah dad" line. This saddens me.
:]
I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!My brother to this day is in complete disbelief at how Narmy the "I GOTTA FIND OUT WHO KILLED MY DAD" line is. It comes completely out of left field.
This show brings memories.
Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that. You're telling me. It was quite a blast to watch this show when it was airing.
If only Trigger would make another season.
Ryuko is compelling because she actually has some degree of depth. Like, as driven as she is and as ruthless as she can be in the pursuit of her goals, she also is not some monster who is so stewed in her own anger that she can't enjoy lunch with her
love interestbest friend.... Most of the time.
I sure said that!
