As I watched this series, I kept thinking to myself that everything is so over-the-top that there is NO way that this series ISN'T a parody of some kind. Entertaining as fuck, though.
And I once saw a nickname for Sanageyama that relates to his Butt-Monkey status: Sanage Yamcha. It amused me.
What was in your right hand is hope; And in another hand is something else to fade.Difference is, he lives.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.Finished the series. Quite entertaining, with far fewer disturbing undertones than some made it out to be. I do agree it had pacing problems, though. It goes from something that feels like a high-school story set in a militaristic alternate reality to a very rapid buildup to a world-ending crisis.
I have mixed feelings about the most recent episode I saw. On the one hand, Ryuko's being overtaken by Senketsu and turned into a hideous rampaging monster scared me. On the other hand, the part when Mako starts crying during her "I Know You're in There Somewhere" Fight with Ryuko gets me all emotional. ^_^;;
I like to keep my audience riveted.I've recently been putting alot of thought into making a concept for a Kill La Kill Beat Em Up, modeled after games like The Simpsons Arcade and Scott Pilgrim Vs The World
A corpse should be left well enough alone...The gentle warm sunset lighting and the slow-timed cover of "Before My Body Is Dry" really sells it.
SLAP!
SLAP!
SLAP!
SLAP!
SLAPPP...!
[tears tears tears]
Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.Mako is Everything.
Everything what?
I like to keep my audience riveted. It's more of a generalization.
Ah, I thought you meant "everything fun" or something like that.
I like to keep my audience riveted.I could mean that too, yes. :3
She's Fun Personified.
I don't think she's a Scrappy. Especially after that part I just mentioned. :)
I like to keep my audience riveted. She can be fun but sometimes a little too fun.....
"We are just like Irregular Data. And that applies to you too, Ri CO. And as for you, Player... your job is to correct Irregular Data."There's no such thing as too fun.
No, there is, but she kept changing it up and remained interesting and surprising to the very end. I especially liked how her Hallelujah moments got more and more broken as the battles took their toll on her heart.
Satsuki is awesome. I will never tire of saying that.
Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that. She's better about it than the girl with the giant blonde hair and the weird-looking kanji eyepatch. -Sideshow Bob's annoyed shudder-
I like to keep my audience riveted.Who here said she's a Scrappy?
Let's review that glorious moment:
Hey now, I didn't see it on the telly yet.
I like to keep my audience riveted.I never said Nui was fun.
Love conquers all.
Or, you know, obvious patch:
I mean this afectionately. Come give the Bunk some love.
