....So. Anyone else psyched for next issue?
If the cover is anything to go by, Loki is FINALLY ditching that silly Medieval Dork gear and getting himself some new swag. Any beats on what his new design will be like?
"You are never taller then when standing up for yourself"note to self: taunt mage with...providing the issue more than usual.
"You can reply to this Message!".....
He's 'hot.
Dear Odin, he's hot.
Mage's actual reaction to seeing Loki.
I call him Stupid Sexy Loki for a reason.

"You can reply to this Message!"In times like this I reassure my own heterosexuality. Is Loki supposed to be that hot? I can't tell at all.
Forget bishie!Loki! What I was really exited in this book was the teenage heroes social link grid. I just love teenage heroes. I know most of them won't say or do anything of note and will probably just appear for the obligatory big 2 pages splash page fighting scene. Still, knowing the possibility of all of them showing up really made me smile.
(I got annoyed Laura's link is wrong, though /nitpick)
I'm happy to see Karolina on the grid! I hope she brings Molly along
And then all the Teen Heroes Band together to attack the new Murder World and rescue everyone from Walker and Hopeless, but alas, to much to hope.
Anyways- a lot of building tension this issue in perpetration for the finale. Which is cool. Some things felt a bit rushed, but Gileon is on a deadline so I can't blame him.
"You are never taller then when standing up for yourself"Out of curiosity, is this dead line one he set himself or is it because he needs to warp up with Loki and pass him down to the new series?
I think it's one that Marvel set for him- since they commissioned the 15 issues that make up Vol 2.
Hopefully, the new YA will get at least a "Presents" for the new characters and a miniseries to extend/wrap things up after the "season" ends.
"You are never taller then when standing up for yourself"IIRC it was confirmed or at least strongly implied there'd be a "season 2" of YA, though given that Arena's "season 2" is something completely different, this might be, as well.
!
I didn't realize the series was ending! I thought they were just warping up this year's arc and moving to a next story January. It is such a great comic, why is it being canceled?

It isn't, it's ending.
I have a few choice words for what I think Arena's Season 2 should be about, but they might get me banned.
Anyways- One line that jumped out to me especially on re-read "Oh Loki, stop being Loki. You're not fooling anyone."
.....Hint that Leah knows of The Thing?
"You are never taller then when standing up for yourself"That is good to hear.
I don't think a season 2 necessarily means a completely different thing. Avenger Arena can't sustain a long series without changing the premises, but this is not the case here. Season 2 might just means it is finally moving to a new story, a new villain and etc. The team members may change a bit, but I don't expect anything too radical.
...
I'm not sure if "Confirmed" is a fit phrase. More like...."We are allowed to portray him as Bi now."
Oh well. Hey, this means he get to get added to the calender of LGBT Marvel characters. :P

"You are never taller then when standing up for yourself"Not that surprising. Don't some of the immortals in Marvel fall under anything that moves territory (especially if they're of the Greek pantheon)?
Lafayette StrongWell, Loki did spend that one time as a woman, didn't he?
Anyway, is this the tumblr of Loki's new writer? Who is this guy? IS he any good? At any rate, it is nice to see this sort of thing explored more in comics.
Didn't ladyLoki bang Dr Doom?

"War without fire is like sausages without mustard." - Jean Juvénal des UrsinsBahahahahahahahahahahaha... bahahahahahahaha... bpffft OH man, that's funny just to think that Doom was seduced by anything. How did that even work? Did he keep the mask on? I bet it was super awkward, and Loki denied everything when Thor asked her later.
The very best, like no one ever was. Check out my Spider-Man fanfic here! [1]The question I have is... was it a Doombot?
And is a little eight legged roboverlord going to be seen running around Asgard any time soon?

"War without fire is like sausages without mustard." - Jean Juvénal des UrsinsEh, it's still not the weirdest sexual encounter and subsequent pregnancy Loki's ever had.[1]
You don't see that on Tumblr, do you, fangirls? Well, I don't know. Maybe you do. I don't go on Tumblr. I hope you don't see that on Tumblr.
The very best, like no one ever was. Check out my Spider-Man fanfic here! [1]Oh God, Hiddleston better be glad he's never asked to do that in the future.

Actually.....You'd be surprised.
"You are never taller then when standing up for yourself"It's funny. I'd have always considered Loki bi in a if-it-benefits-me kinda way, but I never considered that as actually bi, because I can't imagine Loki sleeping with someone for any other reason.
Well. "It gives me sexual pleasure and release" Sure falls under "It benefits me". :P
"You are never taller then when standing up for yourself"
That, too. But I mean the Evil Exes. Gillen said it made him think of Scott Pilgrim, too. Someone asked him about it, and his response was, "Well, for once, that the team has six members does sort of dictate six members in the opposition… but I’d have gone there anyway, I suspect, for all the reasons you note. I mean, it’s a league of evil exes story. It’s not as if I’m unaware of (or even against) the parallels.
In short: Scott Pilgrim references in more Marvel Comics = Good, for me."
His writer notes for the issue also includes, "And our League of Evil Exes, our loving Scott Pilgrim homage."
