Yeah, I'm not really hearing it either. It's a giant monster screaming at the top of its lungs. Both roars are serviceable.
It took a lot of filler and "We can do this Eren! Don't transform! -cue killed by Female Titan-" to get here, but man, this fight between Eren and the Female Titan in the forest is the best. Knock-down, drag-out.
I dislike most of the Scouting Legion. Levi, Zoe, and those who kept telling Eren not to transform and died for it. Levi only earns my admiration because he's ridiculous, and I still want Mikasa to bash his face in. EDIT: I take it back, Levi's cool.
Eren started out Hot-Blooded, but this indecisiveness of his was getting annoying. What happened to the guy who rushed the Colossal Titan in Episode 5? Now he's all "TEAMWORK!" It's like he doesn't want to be the main character.
I love the Female Titan. She certainly makes the on-screen violence entertaining, and the way she backed up against a tree and guarded her weak spot was a nice change from Titans getting slaughtered.
I'm a little baffled by how much of the gore is pushed off-screen. I know I saw people getting eaten in the manga. For a show with such gritty subject matter, I find it weird they'd cut all of that down. And mind, it's aired on the same network that's showing Hellsing Ultimate, gore extraordinaire, so I don't think it's Toonami's fault or any meddlesome editing.
EDIT: Eren vs Annie, Round 2. This is going to be good.

Akira Toriyama (April 5 1955 - March 1, 2024).Yeah, it's a lot of Gory Discretion Shots with the anime looking back on it.

Aw, I really liked Levi's squad. Especially Oluo, that jerk.
The teamwork scene did run a bit too long for my tastes, but I liked how it was a jab at more idealistic shows (or, heck, even that part from a few episodes earlier where Armin stood up for Eren against the Garrison soldiers). I actually expected that Annie would be successfully captured or at the very least hindered somehow by Petra and co, which would then lead to a heartwarming speech about The Power of Friendship. The show brutally subverted assumptions, as usual.

I like Levi. Particularly when he proceeded to slash Annie several times in the blink of an eye. The rest, eh. They're better than the MP's I guess. Zoe I just can't get behind. Yeah this show does smack away preconceptions. I was under the impression the first 16-20 episodes would be all deaths and miseries. They slid some flashbacks and tender moments in there.
I liked the forest fight more than the city one - that fight was intense, minimal dialogue. That's how I like my fights. It was awesome seeing two intelligent Titans collide. Eren's Titan form continues to amaze. I'm left to wonder what was going through Annie's mind - Eren was just thinking "Kill'em all!", her thoughts were on the past. What was driving her?
And what's with this Titan inside of the wall? I half-expected one of the Colossal's eyes to peer through a hole in the wall, but... that thing was actually inside of the wall.
Akira Toriyama (April 5 1955 - March 1, 2024).Anyone's better than the MPs.
I liked the forest fight better too. It helped that there weren't any buildings or civilians around.

Sorry to double post (well, it has been a month and half), but the second Levi OVA is out. Any thoughts? Personally, I didn't much like the changes to the ending, but Levi's anguished screaming caught me off guard in a good way. And thank God they censored most of the gore.

What did they change?
PSN ID: FateSeraph | Switch friendcode: SW-0145-8835-0610 Congratulations! She/TheyGlad to see the anime's high production values are still in full force. I can't wait to see how they'll adapt this arc.
...Also, I just realized I never replied to 's question. For anyone who still cares, I just didn't like how stoic Erwin seemed at the end. Kind of a silly quibble in hindsight, but hey.
Were the titans in the walls ever brought up in the manga?
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.Oh, yes. They spend a while just trying to figure out what the hell is going on then they spend even longer doing something about it. In fact, that finally finished doing something about it a few months back.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!Heh.
This was the moment when Nick went from just another asshole Minister to something much more.
Even he had something he believed in, and when you expect him to cave under pressure, he suddenly shows some guts and makes Hange's threat useless.
One Strip! One Strip!Good God that scene PERFECTLY carries over Hange's wrath.

Apparently putting a currently airing anime adaptation of a completely different spinoff in its own entry is not a good idea and worthy to be on the cutlist. Good to know that I should never try to launch an entry again.
Aside from that, Junior High is a fun watch.

Wasn't that a manga first? That's odd, we don't have a page for it.
Make the page again (make sure you put it under the Manga namespace) and we'll launch an inquiry if it's cut again.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!It WAS under the manga space. It got cutlisted anyway.
Was it poorly formatted? If the page is half-done, sometimes it will be cut, though in that case the cutmaster is supposed to PM you with a notice "Get it all sorted out in the sandbox before moving it to the main wiki."
I mean, the fan game got a page, so I don't see why an official spin off wouldn't.
Yeah, the tropes in the spinoff aren't anything like the main series. Did you ask why exactly it got cutlisted?
I dunno. I put a halfway-decent description (noting who wrote the manga and that Funi's streaming the anime), put the minimum number of tropes to start out with...just that when I checked on it today everything was gone. If anyone else wants to try, go right ahead. :\
I just hope they get some better long versions for the eventual new opening theme.
I loved the T.V. size version of Guren No Yumiya and Wings of Freedom, but I couldn't stand their full versions. They just felt wrong.
One Strip! One Strip! For you, Rob.

Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!Other way around, Guren is perfect both OP and full, Wings full version is a massive improvement over the OP version. Titatincally so. Even, I dare say, colossal.
