Well, the sword is there, but I'm having trouble seeing how a pink-haired girl in a schoolgirl outfit is representative of a sorceress.
I think that◊ or this one or that one◊ or even this◊ would show it better.

Of those, the first is the most clear...the second link isn't working for me, the third isn't all that clear on them being paired, and the fourth has them battling each other as opposed to being a team, which is the opposite of the trope. A pic of Negi and one of his Pactios would be a good option, and if there's a version of the current concept that shows Zero being more of a sorceress, that would work as well.

Hm, that's odd, the forum seems to mangle the link for the second pic. It's supposed to be this, but the forum replaces _ by %20_. Even when I write it out here, for some reason.
(edit) Nope, doesn't work. Try this: [1]

Rhetorical, eh? ... Eight!I see a boy with a sword and a girl with a Magic Wand.
Hm, then the google link isn't working either. It was supposed to show Gandalf and Aragorn; I'll see if I can copy/paste it.
Rhetorical, eh? ... Eight!Jonathon and Charlotte from Castlevania?◊

That's pretty cool.
Castlevania for me.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanThe only good one of those is 1.3 if it didn't have all those words around. In the current I can see the sword and wand so it works okay.
Edit: Jonathon and Charlotte work too.

That works for me.
I'm good w/ 8 or 12.
Moon◊8 it is for me.
"Yeah, it's a shame. Here we are in an underground cave with all these lasers, and instead of having a rave we're using it for evil."I don't think Aragorn and Gandalf are an example. The trope isn't just any warrior and mage who appears in the same work and are on the same team. It's about a specific pair to balance out each others' weaknesses.
Of the suggestion, I think the Castlevania one is the best one, but I don't think it's better than the current.
Check out my fanfiction!Especially with Gandalf owning his own sword.
I honestly had to look for Louise's wand in the current. The weapons coming out of the book in the Castlevania pic are more clearly magical, which puts it over the current for me.

I didn't see a wand until you mentioned it. Just thought she was pointing.

23 does show them teaming up nicely and their roles look clear. The first and third of 21 is too busy for me and too posed. I can't get to the second one.
Of 21, I liked number 2 the best since he's protecting her and she looks plenty squishy. The rest are just too posed, I agree.
... still like the Castlevania one the most.
