Just a Face and a Caption (CROWNER): Battle Couple

I think this could be improved. The couple probably fits, but the picture doesn't say it. Any ideas?

But being Back-to-Back Badasses doesn't make one a couple. (Otherwise let's just take the picture from Back-to-Back Badasses)

[up][up] I actually like that first Smiths pic a little better for Back-to-Back Badasses than its current, but that's another thread. Both of those are long on "battle" and very short on "couple". Still favoring 4.1 for making that the most clear of anything.

[up] 14.1 doesn't really spell couple. They aren't even touching, or looking at each other. It just happens to be a man and a woman.

Beside my suggestion I do like 5

I don't see anything that's better than the current suggestion. What we have right now is a boy and girl back to back in some kind of action-y scene. All the suggested images are similar to that with the exception of the Green Arrow+Black Canary bow thing which strikes me as more the Hands-On Approach than battle.

Hmmm... I'm retracting my vote for 4.1. The Hands-On Approach is too plausible of an interpretation.

[up] 4.4 is cleaner.

I see where people are going with the Hands-On Approach interpretation, but since Ollie and Diana are sharing the duty on the bow rather than a clear assistnote , plus their expressions and where their free hands are, it lends itself more strongly to this trope for me.

[up] Interesting...I think I prefer 14.1 over that because of the text, but it's definitely a contender.

Well, it's actual CG from the game, so it's normally textless.

I guess this might need a crowner. I still root for 4.1.

Interesting that their hands are on the same sword.

A crowner is a good idea, but it's way too late for me to mess with setting one up.

I think 35 and 4 are better. This X Men pic feels more like they're hurt and supporting each other to avoid falling over, not that they're a couple or anything. Having both their hands on the same sword, however, is much more couple'y.

[up] That's somehow... disappointing. The current image is in red and should be pulled, but it's pity that the suggestions don't have stronger support. I like nearly all of them.
