Episode 4.

At least this show continues to be cute. And the main character is better and more likeable with his façade back, so that was a good thing.

The reveal about nee-san is so brain breaking... Tsukiko said it best, "I don't even know where to begin.".

Ahaha. Tsukiko's façade was eaten. That's great!

And the ending has the promise of both more drama and shenanigans and possibly supernatural.

I'm impressed at how many surprises this show managed to pull this episode.

"I'll do whatever it takes if it means I can stay with you." Those are some surprisingly heavy words.

I think that without being able to show expression, she needs to learn how to relay her feelings in words, since he's rather bad at reading between the lines. But then, considering the above, he really should learn how to read the actual lines as well.

I find that sister hilariously stupid. It was shown before that she was gullible, but this... And they ended what could've been a heartwrenching story of two sisters with a dumb joke.

I really do like that he's being very clear with Asuza. It gives her a fair chance, and no false hopes. That's very rare in these kinds of series. And considering the genre, Youto really is surprisingly likeable. For one, he takes a lot more action than your average protagonist.

[up] Ah yeah, I forgot how nice and explicit they made the relationship stuff. Sounds unsubtle (it is) but it does stop some stupid misunderstandings and harem teasing.

How dumb do you have to be to fall for a twin brother excuse? Yeah... Tsukushi seemed mature and responsible at first, but this episode shows that Tsukushi and logic don't come near each other.

The best part about that is that because of how the MC pulled the lie off someone gullible can fall for it with a lot of doubts about it in the spur of the moment later think camly and be sure it was all a lie, that makes the fact she actually believes it funnier.

Youto is indeed a good protagonist. He does stuff, and makes things clear, though that probably won't be enough to make Azuki give up.

The older Tsutsukakushi has interesting thought processes... Yeah, I'm not sure where to start with that either. It also seems that Tsukki's not planning on getting her facial expressions back. Guess you got your wish, US.

Like the previous episodes, a lot happens. The initial gimmick seems to be gone, and now Youto's house has gone poof. That was... unexpected.

[up]They just barely started hinting to the bigger scale of things in the latest manga chapter...

Will probably be in episode 5, given the pacing of the anime.

I have to wonder though, if the Stony Cat was just made by Tsukiko's older sister to begin with, just WHEN and HOW did it suddenly gain wish-granting powers?

[up]

Seems to me like it's possessed by some kind of spirit. I hesitate to say "evil spirit", because what it does isn't actually evil (though bad things can happen because of it), but it's definitely some kind of spirit.

Or it could be a variant of Tsukumogami that somehow gained sentience way before the usual 100 years?

[up] Definitely makes me think of Shinto.

I just thought of it in this, simple way: Everything has a god in it, that statue just randomly rolled a high ranking one, and started a game around Be Careful What You Wish For.

Ecchi!

Well, cute too.

I was looking forward to finding what was happening with the house, but a staying over at the Tsutsukakushis' is more fun.

Kinda feels like Azusa is getting a little sidelined in relevance. Or maybe I'm just not that interested in her story. Though it was still sweet.

Nice dodge!

Ah...Wow. The ending.

I like the sisters' reactions, especially the older one's, to him barging out (and his too, for that matter). And she totally didn't see enough to get so distracted she couldn't even remember to stop pouring tea.

Episode 5: Dear god that monotone "kyaaa" is cuter than it should be.

  • Azusa looks surprisingly good in a bikini. It was funny how Youto somehow took all of Azusa's hints and surmised that he could use it to repair Azusa's friendship with two tanned girls. His obliviousness worked out this time.
  • I wish Tsukiko would bite my finger. <beat> Err.
  • Youto, you need to get that sense of shame back. And Tsukiko should just have admitted she wanted to look at him more. XD
  • Aaaand Azusa pretends she's dating Youto. That's one juicy plot thread.
  • Sparkling Tsukiko in a bath towel! Guaranteed to subdue raging Steel Kings!
  • Youto's house is in the Tsutsukakushi household, and there's another stony cat screwing with him. Excellent news; Youto has a reason to stay in the sisters' house.
  • Somehow next episode will involve Azusa in handcuffs. I-i-it's not like I'm interested in that or anything...

That last one feels like it should be in spoiler tags. But I am definitely curious as to what could be going down now.

Episode 6

Leaving aside the fact that it's similar to last episode again, it's worth it.

Now they're starting to show what the premise can do.

What we have is a Jerkass Genie/god. So far we haven't even been given any limits.

Other than that... Yeah, yandere big sister continues to be insane and fall for hentai-worthy logic.

Back on the VN concept, I can kind of see this part working as one. So many flags...

This actualy manages to be one of those rare shows where I'm aggressively shipping the main couple. (although "Atuthuathuka!" was funny)

I think this is pretty much the only show where the Apocalypse was kickstarted by accident by a raging lesbian siscon.

If you scratch a CD, shouldn't you scratch the other side?

I'm not sure I've heard that one before. "It wasn't your fault, pervert." From a tsundere. That was probably the most surprising thing in the entire series so far. (Well, I have seen it once before. Kotegawa Yui.)

He's hilariously weak against the women's wicked wiles...

As for the ending, can anyone say Be Careful What You Wish For?

every episode i keep thinking the Steel King cant possibly be any more stupid, and every episode i'm proven wrong. I hope this trend continues, since she is my favorite character

Episode 6: I don't blame Steelie for being a siscon, Tsukiko is too damn cute. Did you see that little dance she did while cooking? That tune she was humming? While wearing Yokodera's shirt? I need an emoticon for HNNNGGG. It was so HNNNGGG that handcuffed Azuki Azusa became an afterthought. I wish she'd dosukoi me. Gaaah. So cute.

Oh dear.

Yokodera could be accused of harem-denseness if it wasn't for the fact that Ms. Ironclad takes the entire "dense" title and runs with it to China.

Okay, a TV isn't that heavy. Even if it's that large. Even an old CRT-TV isn't that heavy. Just cumbersome to carry.

[up]x2

I think she is just pretending to be stupid in regards to Yokodera because she respects him and doesn't want to tarnish her feelings about him.
