I've recently (today) made the page for the trope 'Ambiguous Time Period' but the description is lacking and it needs examples.

I see you made it without a YKTTW. I think they can help you over there in YKTTW; we can't really do anything here, but I'll see.

I think YKTTW is the best choice in this case. It's probably the best place to gather examples, which is the biggest problem here. The trope seems legit enough, and different enough from Anachronism Stew, which probably is the closest relative. Might want to check out Purely Aesthetic Era and Present-Day Past for comparison.

Well, that and the type listing. Don't write "Type 1, Type 2", etc. I think those should only really be used if there could be a subtrope based on each type, but it's either not distinct enough for its own trope, or not enough examples, both of which already make it dubious to include. For more info, check Type Labels Are Not Examples.

[down]None.

Now that I see, this has one example only. Any objections to move this topic to this thread, as it falls under its jurisdiction, not TRS one?

Yeah, this is a Crash Rescue thing, not a TRS thing.

Out of courtesy, we should probably wait for the OP to return so that the thread doesn't disappear.

OP? Crash rescue? TRS? What do those mean?

OP: Original Post or Original Poster. The post/person who opens a thread. Like you, in this case.

Crash rescue: The forum thread (discussion) that deals with bad new pages; this one.

TRS: Trope Repair Shop. The forum that deals with bad pages (only old ones; new ones are dealt with "crash rescue")

Oh. I understand. I better try to move this forum to crash rescue instead. Sorry, I created my account yesterday. How do I move this forum to crash rescue?

Eh, it's no biggie. Misplaced threads happen all the time. We just are a bit less patient in this subforum as there is a thread limit.

While you can't move a thread into another thread, we can post the problem announcement in the other thread. Now, pursuant to this post, I will ask for thread lock here and the discussion will continue here.
