Torkaizer - an Arabian mecha anime production

The Middle East's first Anime!! The story of Torkaizer revolves around Ahmed, a normal Emirati young man who finds himself in a life-and-death situation while on vacation! An alien invasion hits Tokyo and all hope is lost, but through a twist of fate, Ahmed finds Torkaizer and goes against all odds to unite everyone and defend earth against these space monsters!

Finally, foreigners making their own anime. Hope this is a start of things to come.

the arabic voice acting is bad but i'm still interested, it helps that Torkaizer's design looks like SRW's Rai Oh.

I thought the Arabic voice acting was decent.

About the show itself: very interesting. Would love to see what happens with it.

But it still takes place in Tokyo!

First, this is in no way the first non-Japanese TV animation project to bill itself as anime

That aside, it looks... okay? Animation quality seems decent, albeit with an unfortunate case of Cheeky Mouths. Designs aren't bad, though they feel a bit dated. Voice acting seems poor to me, but I'm not familiar with the language at all

Really, what bothers me most is that it's set in Tokyo

I'm pretty much convinced at this point that any real-life alien invasion will focus entirely on Tokyo.

Considering how japan is basically one of, if not THE most advanced country in the world in regards to Robotics and Medicine, I wouldn't be surprised if Aliens visited them, first.

The aliens must be convinced that attacking Tokyo is proper protocol for any extraterrestrial visitors.

Maybe because they are planning to create Gundams? (They actually are planning on doing something like that)

Oh yes. They must make first contact with a small family farm many miles from the nearest metropolitan area. (Hey, they probably need a large, flat, open area to land.) They start by burning windigs into the corn to let them know they are coming...

Different aliens, maybe.

Depending on how or why aliens approached us, Tokyo would be a prime candidate. For the moment, it's still the largest urban area on the planet, prime target for a first strike along with Mexico City, Sao Paulo, Shanghai, and New York.

If Aliens do their research well, New York is the best place for landing. It is the most famous city of the most important country in the world. That would definitely makes the biggest impact. Of course if they didn't do their research, they would just land on the most populous city in the world which is Tokyo.

I think if they did their research, they'd land in Saudi Arabia and attack the world's fuel supply immediately. Which on a related note is pretty damn ironic, well, considering...
