Has it been confirmed in any way that Clark Gregg is leaving the show or staying on. No word on Clark exiting makes me think Coulson dying isnt going to stick.
With all the memes about women choosing a bear over a man, Hollywood might wanna get on an 'East of the Sun and West of the Moon' adaptationI'm still wondering the same thing.
I really hope they don't chicken out on that one.

It would really only be a stretch if they do a multi year time skip and he is still alive.
"When I offered to make Norea my third back-up girlfriend she just glared at me and started throwing things at me.." Renee CostaPersonally, I'm putting my money on flashbacks.
Clark Gregg said in an interview that he doesn't know either.
But honestly, it would be better to NOT bring him back. The show needs to pay attention to its budget, and a good way to lower it is to cut down on regulars.
I hope he stays dead. I think backing out now would cheapen the entire season.
I've felt they've run the gamut of haracter development with Coulson since Season 4. I'd prefer he pull a Nick Fury and stay gone. I'm also salty about May/Coulson endgame and would rather not follow that chaos.

I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!I blame the fans for that one...the May/Coulson shippers were pretty loud. I would have preferred them staying close friends.
So did I; their sudden romance felt a bit forced.
I liked their friendship and I was ok with them becoming involved... Just if it were a slower burn.
I want Coulson to die peacefully, but I don't want to lose May with him. That's what I'm frustrated with right now.
Doubt you will. Even if they do let Coulson die in peace, I see no reason why May can't join back the team once he is gone.
I just feel like the ending felt like a send off for both May AND Coulson. And seeing her mourning her Love Interest TWICE within 2 seasons just seems... I don't like the feeling I'm getting from that being one of the most badass character's character arc for two seasons now.
I still say the last season is going to be two concurrent plots: one that's the main events of the season, and another that's a series of flashbacks involving Coulson that somehow ties into the events of the main plotline.
Why? Dunno. It just seems like the kind of thing Agents of SHIELD would do.
I'm sure she'll be back and I doubt she'll be mourning. Andrew was brutally and terribly ripped from her life and she had to deal with that as it was happening. With Coulson, she has time to make her peace. There might be a Passing the Torch arc about how the team feels now that he's gone and they all have to move on, but I don't expect anything more than that.
She left so that she could spend Coulson's final days with him. Unless she plans on committing suicide over his body Romeo and Juliet style, there's no reason her departure would be permanent.

My Tumblr. Currently liveblogging Haruhi Suzumiya and revisiting Danganronpa V3.So apparently filming for season 6 will be starting up soon. Hoping that the next season might come a little earlier than expected just like how season 5 did.
Tis the great art of life to manage well The restless mindI wanna share an idea I had for a surprise character for this show; Elephant Steve! The idea is that he would be the main guest star of a lighthearted comedy episode, and would have a high vocal register in contrast to his giant frame. The next episode after that would be more serious, though, as it would focus on Elephant Steves creator and said creators latest experiment; Dr. Randall Pierce and Lionheart!
So what do you guys think?
The storm has now resided, the wolf now rests.Squeel...I didn't knew that the cast went to comic com despite not having a panel there. And even happier about the news which came out of it. The actor of Deke is now a regular!!!! That's great, he is the best thing which came out of the last season and I would have been so upset if he had been gone. And now he is a regular instead!!!! Now he can rebuilt his relationship with the new Fitz from the ground up….
You know, I didn't like Deke in the first half of the season, but he grew on me in the second. I'm glad to hear he's sticking around. He can experience a non-shitty life from the comfort of a shadowy paramilitary agency that, unlike the rest of the world, doesn't care that he doesn't have any form of legal ID.
Sticking with S.H.I.E.L.D. is Deke's best-case scenario right now. It's a happier ending for him than figuring out how to eke out a living with no ID, no money, few if any marketable skills, and not even a third-grade education. The tragic paradox for Zeke is that there is so much out there that he wants to experience, but as he is now, that world would eat him alive faster than the Kree.
At the very least, he's going to need some integration lessons and some cash to get him started before he'll be ready to just walk out there and try to make a life for himself. For as enchanting and wonderful as he probably would actually find being a hobo compared to his old life...we can do better by him.
In his own strange way, Deke could be an interesting metaphor for the use of military service as a gateway to citizenship for immigrants.

My Tumblr. Currently liveblogging Haruhi Suzumiya and revisiting Danganronpa V3.I just hope they'll start treating him decently already.
Certified: 48.0% West Asian, 6.5% South Asian, 15.8% North/West European, 15.7% English, 7.4% Balkan, 6.6% ScandinavianI wouldn't underestimate Deke. He is a survivor after all, and he spend his time in the bunker studying this new world. He would also be hardly the first person the US who manages to get a job without ID … that is assuming that Daisy didn't create something for him at one point.
The cast is hilarious in this one...beware of spoilers if you want to go into the next season unprepared.
Agents of SHIELD Season 5 Deleted Scenes. Including a very special appearance by Patton Oswalt for the 100th episode that, unfortunately, didn't make it in and a pretty awesome deleted scene from the season finale, which I wish they had kept in (Deke hugs Fitz!).

I suppose you didn't.
The main argument against it was that the Ghost Rider exacts a heavy toll, and Coulson would never let one of his people pay that toll in his place ...
Now, we know that the cost the Rider exacted upon him was that it burned out all the Kree Juice keeping him alive. Without the T.A.H.I.T.I. process in him, his body has been regressing to its natural state of being stabbed to death by Loki. That was the toll they were talking about.
Which means that if Jemma had hosted the Rider instead of Coulson, he would be alive and well today with absolutely no negative drawbacks, because she has no Kree Juice sustaining her. Jemma hosting the Rider instead of Coulson would have been the objectively correct decision in Watsonian logic too, not just Doylist.
Coulson died for nothing so that he could hog the spotlight.
But that's how I interpreted that.
The only hosts we see are Mack, Robbie, and Coulson. Mack didn't make a deal, he was possessed, and Robbie had to persuade the demon to leave him. Robbie was already dying before he became the Rider, and struggled to control the demon ever since. We've no other hosts who willingly made a deal with the demon other than Coulson.
While I forget what the timetable was on Coulson making/accepting the deal, had it gone to anybody else it could have easily had similar consequences. I'd be more surprised if Coulson didn't have to pay something in return to become a temporary host.
And I mostly agree; it would've been more important for Simmons.
It wouldn't be "Kree juice" but the price to host the Rider probably would've just taken a different shape, and probably still have been devastating.
As seen in this season's finale, Coulson probably wouldn't let anybody else pay that price.
