Warframe: F2P co-op Guyvering

Was it ever the Spawn Point? Anyway, went in and made the hall with the Oracle the new spawn point since it seems to see builds at all.

Uh, these are finally making it in? I can't actually recall when they were teased.

Also, DE released over Twitter a new info graphic to put the growth of the game in numbers and images. There's no really NEW information, but it's interesting if you want an history lesson. See link for LARGE PNG.◊

I wasn't aware it started with only 8 devs.

them infested critters were teased around the same time as the closing of the infested enemy contest, i thin it was shortly after.

Ugh, all those big rooms look and are named similar. Also make note - Greater hall blocks some rooms to be built. Chem lab will have to be swapped with Tenno lab since it's only one that fits.

Yeah, halls are kind of dumbs.

What's the name of the biggest one again? Grandest Hall? Something like that. How imaginative.

Does it even matter which hall is for labs and which for other stuff? Both halls are functionally same as far as I can tell.

Oh, and infestation spreads page has been taken down. What could this mean?

I don't know, but if they're willing to swap the laughably weak Phorid for a more demanding Spoiled Salad, I'm all for it.

well technically it doesn't matter, i just thought the grand hall fit the labs more, and the grandest hall fit the "other stuff" more; i guess, considering detroying labs doesn't cancel research and all that, i'll just rearrange everything once the first batch of research is going, it's only gonna take 1 day to rearrange everything and the research will take 3 days no matter what, so why not?

hehe, spoiled salad, i'm not sure if it's make much sense for him to replace phorid though, i'd expect him to be on eris, not like phorid doesn't need a mayor rework though, it'd be pretty nice to have a proper crazy quadrupedal monstrosity to fight.

The Infestation is getting to Salad's brain.

So basically it seems something big is about to happen, caused by Salad.

Is anyone else... Perplexed by the presence in game of both a clean Salad and an infested Salad? It feels weird. I mean, Vor at least has a reincarnation in anarea that is VERY distinct from his first fight, but it's still odd to be able to fight both version.

yhea it's definetly weird, i gotta say vor isn't that much better though, you might fight vorrupted in the void, but he is still both bisected and farting fairy dust when you do, thought the fact that you can fight non-bisected vor in phobos despite him clearly getting bisected on mercury (and chances are you'll face him on mercury first) is even weirder.

You know I had forgotten about Phobos's boss fight.

This is just making the problem either more hilarious or ridiculous. But at least Vor has the excuse of being a clone, so he can probably remanifest through cloning.

Salad... Well maybe he is a clone actually. I mean, isn't the cloning technology of the Grineer originally from the Corpus?

soo, regarding the research of the sister dojo's labs, i think it'd be best to start with the following:

• bio: mutagen mass
• chem: detonite injector
• energy: fieldron
• tenno: akstilleto

i guess it's pretty clear why we'd have to start start with the resource research on the bio/chem/energy labs, and in case you're wondering the akstilleto would be the best thing to start with in the tenno lab because A) they don't need the other lab's resources, nor any other kind of dificult to get resource; B) they are the ones that unlock the most research.

also, in about 2 weeks i'll be done with this semester of university, so i'll be able to go into my alt account and, if things go right, load it up with resources for the new dojo, i guess i'm kinda late for that though, considering prany has taken over as the sister dojo's resourcemonger.

I don't think Phorid is going anywhere. Even if he (it?) is replaced with Spoiled Salad, players will clamor for beasties return and DE will most likely oblige.

Jee, woke up and there's quite a bit of news out today.

First, I find it really weird that people can "miss" Phorid or even J3. These were some of the flattest, most un-inspired boss, what are you even attached to if you miss them? That baffles me. Ol' Yeller the whole of them and never speak of the recycled charger and leaper again.

Second, Rebecca just teased colorable Lisets. I don't care that much, but I guess it's nice.

Third, Rebecca is teasing the hubs and and 15.5. Apparently this livestream will have a stress-test performed as well as teasing more stuff for the semi-big update before Christmas.

Fourth, and that's a surprise you better sit down before reading: some redditor shared files that were dug (by another user) from the game, and he had found this. Now, I don't want anyone to get overly excited, but that looks like Vasto, Soma and Nova Prime. That Nova might get a new prime is the biggest kicker, I mean, she just cut the line of frame waiting for prime, without mentioning the lore issues who matters more or less.

I'm going to miss any boss that doesn't have invincibility phases. Getting rather tired of those. Otherwise, other than a lingering fondness for the days when Phorid dropped Argon, I have no strong feelings on the matter.

It's nostalgia. Nothing more. Not that it's necessarily a bad thing. I remember few posts asking for return of J3 and now we're getting it redesigned and made to fit in archwing mode. If the same happens for Phorid, I'm all for it. The more bosses there are the merrier to kill 'em all. Of course we don't even know if Phoris is going to be replaced. That's just speculation.

As for primes, I hope it's slight misunderstanding. I really don't like Trinity's lobster tail and hoped to see redo as fast as possible.

Meh, Phorid doesn't have an invincibility phase, but he has that god awful scream which is plain broken.

Chances are that DE would've made a new Infested boss regardless. I mean, maybe not what we are getting right now, but it is very unlikely they would have stagnated with just what we have currently.

Also, Trinity will get a Prime in update 60, just before release, barely so.

And then her tail will turn out to be even uglier what we got now. And we'll all say Trinity Prime is Trinity's immortal skin all over again. Boy, I can't wait.

If anything I can take comfort in knowing that a prime I would never want to keep in a 1000 years won't actually be released within a 1000 years.

soo, there's been quite a few things going on while i was out this morning eh?, well anyhow my take on it all is:

• regarding phorid/J3 i wouldn't miss them per-se, but i would miss their overall idea (a hyper mutated grineer/corpus), i personally think a proper ovehaul for both would be the best option, ever since outbreaks were released i've had this idea that having phorid and J3 as outbreak bosses for grineer and corpus controlled areas respectively would fit perfectly, and i got particularly excited when they showed the old J3 rework concept art (that one that looked like a floating, giant corpus helmet crossed with an octopus).
  • i personally think that compleatly overhauling both to make them into proper super infested mutants would be quite awesome, not to mention it'd add some variation by having outbreak bosses change according to the faction under said outbreak; and frankly i think the "J3 overhaul" we're getting isn't really a J3 overhaul, we're just getting a new gollem, like when we got lephantis (who was also at first meant as a "J3 overhaul")

• colorable lisets?, well why dhell not?, i'd like to recolor my liset, not to mention this opens the posibility of primefying your liset, i mean what's better than a blinged-out stealth ship?

• the hubs getting teased/stress-tested?, good, the more progress/testing goes into it the better, so go brave progreamers of DE! GO OPTIMISE THAT CODE FOR DA GLORY OF DA LOTUS!

• regarding the dug up models, yups, those definetly look like nova/soma/vasto primes, and they look pretty good too, at least to me, nova even has a way WAY better pigtails helm! (i certainly wasn't expecting that)
  • speaking of that frame model, sorry to burst your bubble prany but that is very obviously nova, it has the bell-pants/heels combo, the loli-ish anatomy, and those knob-like thingies all over it look a lot like they are meant to be the like the energy exhausts regular nova has on her back.
  • besides, wether you like it or not, trinity's freaky lobster tail is kind of her defining aesthetic characteristic, it's like frost's longcoat, rhino's bulryness/codpiece, or emeber's weird leg thingies, i really doubt they'll get rid of the tail, but they sure as hell could make it a LOT better looking.

I'll withhold my opinion on Nova and Soma (look at that - almost rhymes) Primes but design of Vasto Prime seems... ugh. That star shaped cylinder is one of those desigh elements that breaks Willing Suspension of Disbelief for me. Like feels as if designer tried to be creative but failed to actuall be creative.

Also - congratuate me on getting full Stalker weapon set! After hundreds of hours, countless encounters and few deaths I finally got Despair.

"Hyper mutated"? Are you taking the piss? They were oversized models of standard enemies that were mutated Grineer/Corpus (in the latter case, with a permanent facepalm), and once art asset replacements started, they had to go sooner or later. Looking at Hek and Kril after the reworks, with not only visual, but also gameplay upgrades, I'm hardly impressed with bosses who don't even have an unique look to them, but also aren't much of a challenge gameplay-wise (because hey, if I can drop a Bastille or a Vortex, and then whale away with my Sobek while Phorid merrily flops around, it fucking blows).

That said, I want a new Ambulas, or a replacement for it, a more refined-looking Raptor (that, also, won't be stupidly easy to trap in the center building with Loki's Switch Teleport), and the promised rework for Nerf Anyo.

that was actually exactly my point, i said i wouldn't miss the bosses themselves, but (at least to me) it was pretty clear they were supposed to be more advanced mutations of the grineer/corpus infested, that's why i mentioned the old J3 overhaul concept art(which they scrapped) that one DID look like a super-mutated corpus, which imho is what J3 should have always been, i said i'd miss their overall idea, not the bosses themselves, i'd expect an actual overhauled J3 to be something like that old concept art, and an overhauled phorid to be some kind of disgusting infested thing based on seriously mutated grineer anatomy, preferably multilegged, a hexapede would be pretty cool, maybe with it being an amalgamation of several infested grineer? idk.

the same goes for both ambulas and the raptor, both are supposed to be more advanced proxies but as they are now they're just recollored/resized versions of normal corpus proxies, same for nef anyo and sniper crewmen.

Vasto Prime looks god awful. I'd even go as far as saying it looks retarded with that star thing. The rest look OK-ish.

In other news, the main website "revealed" the new gunslinger Warframe.

... Jesus, Limbo barely just got out and the new frame is here already. I think that beats Oberon's release.

well that model looks... a little weird actually, i was specting the headband/blindfold thing to be cloth textured, but it looks very rubbery, i think it looks kinda off, but i'd really have to see her model in-game for proper judgement

btw, what happened with oberon's release exactly? i was there but i really don't remember...
