I also like Mojang's thing, a massive Minecraft update with a ton of sham features and a videos from a dozen or so (more or less) famous LPers showcasing them. That must've taken some work in advance.

Super Hostile mode actually looks kind of cool. I hope they release it as a mod or something.

Riot Games/League of Legends has a LoL/Rampage game available today called CHEW (AKA Cho’gath Eats the World)

Ravelry (knitting/crochet site I go on) has put funny hats on everyone's avatars.

Ah, April 1st, that magical day when you can throw out pilots for all of your absolute stupidest ideas and then pretend that all the stupid ones were a joke, and have people actually believe you.

Or alternately, go completely over the top like Youtube did.

edit: The first instance of "stupid" in this post meant "So stupid it might be genius", while the second was "so stupid it's really stupid". Just in case that wasn't clear.

Think Geek's tradition of advertising fake products has turned into a contest to determine which crazy idea would sell the most. This has resulted in a larger percentage of their "joke" items being less "heh, I see what you did there" and more "why didn't you just put that into production?" Like the Batman "family car window decal" parody this year. Just make it.

This one might be the best. Journey is getting a Rocket Death Match DLC.
