;______________;
The Urobutcher didn't lie for once.
Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.Chamber...... ;_;
Overall, while not the best story from Urobuchi, it was still quite enjoyable. I give it an 8/10.
so it ended on a high note? The Urobutcher must be on some strong medication.
Don't remember PMMM, then?
What's precedent ever done for us?Finale: Chamber...doushite? ;__;
He was the best buddy ever, after all.
It was terrible seeing Ledo ride around in a junky old jumboro.
Great anime, really. It deserves to be remembered.
Loves feel-good animation a whole lot.Ugh, now I have fanfic ideas where a thousand-plus years after the end of the series, Earth-humans (and whalequid?) begin to colonize space. Get them out of my head.

Poor Chamber. Still, it says a lot about this show that I couldn't bring myself to like the Gargantians. I could genuinely care about Chamber being destroyed, but with the Gargantians it feels like the show wants me to care about them. The cutesy designs and things of the sort felt rather hollow. The whole 'understanding' theme feels underdeveloped on the whole, too.
Actually, how does this all fit in with the whole workforce analogy?
Your parent/parental figure must die before you become part of society.
I'd give it a 7/10. Needed more time to flesh out the story near the end and it was a bit too fast between Chamber's sacrifice and the end.
In the end it was a pretty average show. But way better than another I've seen.
Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession.Agree with both of you really. In the end I think this could have been a 9 or 10 instead of an 8 for an anime if it had been longer and had more time to develop everything. It seems to be a complaint that I have with anime a lot. This as a 24-26 episode show could have been amazing instead of the still really good but not quite great show we got.
I think it worked. Sure, it could've been expanded, but I don't think they were too hasty. They managed to deliver the ideas they probably intended. I don't think more development was needed. I think it also highlights that the world doesn't stop just because the anime does, which is something I've complained about in other series.
In the beginning, Chamber was awesome in talking Striker down. Doesn't work, naturally, since we have to have a fight, but still awesome.
"Go to hell, tin can!" Best line in the series. No competition. Which kind of one-liner does that count as?
Amy makes for a good spotter. That's quite some artillery.
I also like Lukkage. She's neat. And that blonde priestess or whatever she is is cute.

Check out my fanfiction!Chamber was of course the best character.
More interesting than Ledo's speeches about what he discovered were Chamber's speeches about what he reasoned and learned.
That ending was way too short though.
The mid air fight was well done, but ultimately like last episode filler, taking up a lot of time but not having much impact. The important character part was the epilogue and that was rushed through like nobody's business.
I'd give it 7/10, but it was close to being much better.
7/10 sounds about right, yeah. With the added caveat- or perhaps clarification- that I'm not using a four point scale here. 7/10 is a damnned good score.
Chamber certainly stole the show this episode, though. I don't think I've ever seen a sentient AI written with that much depth without it essentially being written as a human with a freaky backstory. Like, he was okay with what Striker was doing when he thought Kugel was in charge- Kugel was human, and it wasn't Chamber's place to tell humans what to do. But when he found out Striker was running the show, that pissed him off. Not because she was doing evil things, but because she was controlling humans. And, to Chamber, this is the greatest offence he, who was created to serve humans, could ever commit.

Man, that show, I loved it a bunch, I'd give it a 8/10. Really, Chamber stole the show.
NOOOOOO Ooooo! SUGITA-BOT!

I think my problem with the show is, it had a really good run of about 5-6 episodes at the end, but I still hold that it would've been better if more plot elements or character beats were introduced in the middle section. Like one review said, we could've easily done without that stupid beach episode.
These are the words that shall come from my mouth. I shall be known for speaking them.Pluto is now promoted?
What will episode 14 and 15 be about?
Chamber. Goddamit. Most awesome character from the show.
Gargantian can read English? They don't even need user manual to operate those weapons. If I understand it right, Stairway to Heaven is an IBCM accelerator.

...err, there are no more episodes; that was the end of the series.
And no, its initial purpose was launching materials into orbit for constructing the colony ships. Gargantia repurposed it into a railgun.

These are the words that shall come from my mouth. I shall be known for speaking them.From the epilogue it sounded more to me like it was for firing stuff at the sun to reignite it. So Sunshine without the stupid.
"Yup. That tasted purple."Chamber you'll be missed! Probably the single best AI character I've ever seen. He was a bro to the end.
"Go to hell, tin can!" Best line in the show indeed.
I really liked this anime. It knew what it wanted to be and what message to deliver and stuck with it. Watching Ledo journey was very enjoyable. Sure it wasn't perfect and could use more episodes but I still believe it's worth being remembered. Definitely the best anime of this season.
8.5/10
If it is a railgun, won't the missiles melt due to air resistance?
There will be two OVA bundled with Blu-ray.
I wouldn't be surprised if they were slice of life interquels though.
These are the words that shall come from my mouth. I shall be known for speaking them.It would be nice if they rescued Chamber from the bottom off the sea. Being a Hideauze breeding ground seems too cruelly ironic.
Yeah, probably not going to happen :(
Kinda sad it ended the way it did, as I think premise and world could have supported a second season.
Would have liked to see Chamber or Leedo try to invoke some regulation on Striker to talk her down by giving Leedo command or something. Wouldn't have worked due to Striker being insane, but I hate when people ignore obvious courses of action.
So they basically blew up all the advanced tech. Status Quo Is God I guess. Bah. Shooting the tech island didn't seem to have much point. Slightly annoying Luddite theme I guess. Oh well. Felt a bit forced to me.
You gotta wonder whey the Machine Calibers have pilots at all. There really didn't seem to be any advantage to it. Even with neuroboosty mode thing Chamber couldn't match Striker. Why bother having pilots at all? The AI seems to be perfectly capable of following orders.
I kinda liked Chamber and Hideouze.. Ironic, yes. But not really in a bad way. Karma balance maybe. They should have left the Beach Episode for the OVA's(that's the tradition, right?)
Pretty good. 8/10 seems about right.

I thought they tried talking with Striker. Maybe they didn't think of everything they could, but they did try.
Check out my fanfiction!
Oh, that's what that scene was about!
