Just a Face and a Caption: Enemy Eats Your Lunch

To anyone who is not familiar with the scene this image comes from, it just looks like Samuel Jackson angrily eating a burger. It could just as easily be his own burger that he paid for.

Yeah, "eating a hamburger" is not this trope.

"Angrily eating a burger" is a pretty good way to illustrate this trope IMO. Keep until better image suggested.

That's a slight improvement, as it at least shows more than one person involved. Doesn't show whose lunch it is, though.

Image is still some guy eating a burger. Doesn't say if he stole it or bought it himself.

I would guess on the guy sitting down with the bag in front of him.

It would be my natural assumption as well.

The natural assumption would be that it belongs to the guy who's eating it, methinks, since you don't really see where on the table it is (the bag is the only indication there is a table at all). If you could see it was on his side of the table, it would be obvious, though.

I don't like @3. No idea at all how the food is someone else's.

I like both the current pic and #3. But there must be a picture of somebody actually taking the food from somebody else's plate, which would be more illustrative.

I don't know. I think we need to have an image from Pulp Fiction there, but the angles are not ideal.

EDIT: This one from Red Dwarf could work, though it's not as iconic. Cat steals "Fat-boy's" French fries.

Can I suggest that it's good, but a more obvious sequence/continuity between frames would be better (if at all possible)?

I think it would be more immediately obvious if say he was picking up the food and then eating it. This way we can only infer the burger came from the same place.

Though admittedly it is a bit nitpicky.
