Because a colleague of mine use QWERTY keyboards where AZERTY is the standard, and because I often need to work on his computer, I'd be tempted to say QWERTY sucks.
But AZERTY sucks so much it would be hypocritical. Too many parts of this layout make no sense.

You realize that there is no significant evidence that Dvorak is any more efficient or faster than QWERTY, right?
Well, it's hard to have good test subjects for it.
Why did we pick QWERTY design?
Avoiding jams on old mechanical typewriters, at least in part.
If you say so. But I'd still call any design that has the "Q" so far from the "U" obsolete.

It makes it a whole lot easier for me to avoid learning how to type properly, so hey. I'm cool with it.
"It's so hard to be humble, knowing how great I am."And its just so fun to say Qwerty.
Sign on for this After The End Fantasy RP.Fun to say "Qwerty"? Oh, that's not all that's fun to say. You are missing out my friend . . .
I can't show it off here, since I'm using a keyboard (and that's kinda cheating), but I can always remember the arrangement of letters on a keyboard, because I remember the sound it makes to read the whole keyboard out loud. It's something like this:
"Quirt-ee-you-ee-op. Ah-suh-duh-fuh-guh-huh-jickle. Z'x-cuh-vuh-b'num."
Also means you'll never forget where the keys are.

'Z'x-cuh-vuh-b'num' sounds like something out of lovecraftian horror.

Which also reminds me of the bit in revenge of the sunfish where you have to stroke a keyboard... it even has a pleasure meter, like certain other games.
Keeper of The Celestial FlameQWERTY will never go away
I love it except for the times when for some reason I have to switch between layouts.
Ok, I'll explain.
I live in Hungary right? So my laptop at home has the standard Hungarian QWERTZ keyboard (note that z and y are switched!).
I work in Hungary but at an international company, which uses the standard US QWERTY layout.
But I also have to sometimes use the special letters only Hungarian or German has because I have to contact people in German at times.
So then I switch the input method, but that can wreak havoc because my brain and hands don't know which muscle memory set to use because the input method is in Hungarian so the sw acts as if I had a Hungarian layout, but the actual keyboard is a standard US one.
For example, ? and ! are in completely different places in the two layouts. as are \ and/ and several other special characters.
