[up][up][up] Well, I'd argue that P-Money's Sword-n-Shield or Yang's Shotgun Gauntlets are more practical for CQC than a Minigun Purse.

Like... she might have the most impractical weapon for personal combat.

For those of you who are less military-savvy.

I just wanted to point out that miniguns are most often used mounted to a vehicle.

So yeah, Coco's choice of weapon is VERY much Awesome, yet Impractical.

Does that mean that Grimm were rekt by an Impractical weapon user?

It's made for countering Grimm as an ideal area denial weapon. You can only go better with the trend if you grabbed an actual tank.

It's less suited for personal combat mostly because, well, Coco didn't seem to be very mobile with it.

Ideally, Coco provides the firepower (dealer), while Yatsuhashi provides protection (tanker), while Velvet (supposedly) provides support (maybe healing or support magic). No idea what Fox does.

Dissapointed emmy didn't say "right behind you"

I think that's more evidence to the theory that it was actually Neo helping them. She's mute, after all (or at least, doesn't talk).

I keep mishearing from which academy Emerald and Mercury are coming officially from when professor Port announces the matchup at the episode's beginning.

how much further can we push grimm down the food chain: the experiment continues

The thing is, and I staunchly defend this, despite all of the badasses out there, they still haven't wiped the Grimm out yet.

There are four kingdoms. Mankind, despite all of the firepower and Chuck Norris'ing, still hasn't reclaimed Remnant.

That's how bad the Grimm are. When you only have four major cities you're pretty fucked. Not Attack on Titan fucked, but up there. Yeah, it's all Informed Ability, but haven't you ever played Star Craft?

Is a single Zergling a threat to anyone? Not typically. Then 5-20 of the bastards spring up and you're Firebat/Marine squad gets ripped apart.

I'd be willing to bet that one of the major cities (probably not Beacon) will fall in the next couple volumes due to a Grimm Zerg Rush.

Sounded like Haven/Heaven to me.

@On Tactics: Fox is most likely a clean-up crew, assuming Velvet isn't.

Like, comparing to some other teams... RWBY doesn't have anyone who can just mow Grimm down en masse. JNPR has Nora, sort of, and no idea on either CRDL or SSSN(or whatever they're called again).

@Grimm: The way I see there is a finite number of resources kingdoms can use and no end to Grimm. We've no idea where they're coming from and will they ever stop, so it makes trying to reclaim the land that much more difficult when there's suddenly a bunch of evil bear-sized wolves in your backyard.

[up][up]It's actually kind of hypocritical, I hate it when we make the Grimm out to be pathetic, but I love bashing Blake for getting knocked around in every fight.

Basically team CFVY goofed up their team composition. They brought their tank and artillery against some close-range skirmishers. I think Fox could probably have matched Mercury if not overpower him.

Also, Yatsuhashi goofed by throwing Mercury away instead of giving him a header into the concrete.

[up][up]About Grimm being considered pathetic, or me being hypocritical? To the latter, well, I admit it. To the former, well, Nightmare Fuel or not, I like the Grimm, they're a blend of The Heartless of Kingdom Hearts and the Titans from Attack on Titan.

The Heartless actually got some shit done onscreen, though.

AH, Kingdom Hearts.

In the first two games: their kill count is the 7 princesses of heart, and that one poor sap in the beginning of Traverse Town. Said town treats them like an utter nuisance, most worlds did as I recall. Sora and the party spend a good amount of time killing them left and right, it's the Nobidies that give Sora trouble, and even then, he'd been asleep for about a year, and Mickey jumps in to save him - after which Sora is perfectly able to defeat every single person that looks at him funny, other than Sephiroth. Heck, Sora was killing them five minutes after receiving the Keyblade, which I guess is somewhat explained in Birth by Sleep.

The Heartless can even be killed by non-Keyblade characters, even though Leon states that only the Keyblade can defeat them. You could make the same case that the Heartless aren't at all a threat, if you look at it that way. But the narrative never treats them that way, and I don't think a lot of fans did either.

The heroes seem to have every means of defeating the Heartless - heck, one part of KH 2 had Sora fight a 1,000 of them. But the Heartless are still out there, everywhere - for every ten killed, a hundred more show up. And that's terrifying. Conservation of Ninjutsu only goes so far.

I played StarCraft, every entry except Legacy of the Void (NOT ENOUGH MINERALMONEY).

And let me tell you, EVERYBODY is either scared or at least acknowledge that Zergs are a threat, because they earned that reputation. Hell, you even get to play as Zerg.

Zergs have so much more variants, have larger and stronger creatures, and infinitely more numerous that Grimm (as of now) can ever hope to be.

It's almost an insult to compare Grimms to the Zergs.

They were definitely more of a threat in the first game than the Grimm ever were, since they almost caused The End of the World as We Know It and we see the effects of their destruction at The End Of The World. While you can kill them without the Keyblade, they won't stay dead according to Days and just come back unless the heart is released.

I will admit that they totally became a lesser threat in all later games (this is very slightly justified during Yen Sid's exposition dump at the beginning of II, but it's still pretty weak).

[up][up] And then there are Tyranids which, at least fluff-wise, are even worse compared to Zerg, Titans or Grimm.

Still, I suppose they (the Grimm) are still a strong presence in Remnant. Like I've said, even though they're fodder they can possibly drown you in droves of Beowulves and Ursas. At some point your ammo is going to run out, after all.

The problem with Grimms that in relation with the firepower and the number of Hunters, Grimms don't seem THAT numerous.

I would love a scene like this:

You know, two highly trained fighters ultimately getting overwhelmed by sheer number.
