Oh, you said something, Roy? I was gone for a bit. Had to get some cookies.

I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel. Some random musing, but I'm wondering if RWBY might go the way of Nier to a degree. For context, in Nier the monsters of the world, Shades, are dangerous creatures, but don't really threaten a strong individual much, even in small groups. Stronger Shades exist, who also possess more intelligence, and it requires a significant effort from the main character and his allies to defeat them, but they are mostly spread apart and unorganized, so even the main character in his weaker state can defeat them. However a certain shade, with human-level intelligence, a human form, and immense power, starts to organize them, first leading an attack on the main characters home with an enormous implacable monster shade. He then guides the remaining shades in continuous attacks on human settlements, armoring them and organizing the strongest shades alongside them to ravage humanity.
I'm sure you can see the sorts of parallels to be made, at least in the early parts. I'm wondering if that might be Cinder's plan or something as a way to kick up tension without necessarily making the Grimm we've seen immensely stronger. Like, a pack of wolf monsters is hardly a threat in RWBY, but what about a pack of armored wolf monsters who can ultra combo you between the lot of them? Obviously bigger Grimm will happen (there had better be the obligatory Dragon grimm at some point at the very least), but this way the cannon fodder we've seen might actually prove threatening.

Hyped for Hyperdimension Neptunia V 2Also worth noting that Nie R has a theme naming with the boss Shades, naming them after fairy tale figures. It's a very loose connection and was a remnant of a previous version of the game, but still.
A corpse should be left well enough alone...Thank you for providing my day more Laura Bailey
Wow, that's almost exactly her SR 3 Boss voice. You can also hear Lucina if you strain.
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.Well, she was pretty much just using her natural voice for the first one.
On the topic of Yang being in Death Battle I am actually pretty hopeful of her chances against most of the people she could face. Mostly because the fight will probably be against someone else who punches stuff. And unless Yang is going up against One Punch Man himself their beating on her will just make her strong enough to end them.
Some candidates Yang could fight include Makoto Nanaya from Blaz Blue. They're both fisticuffs fighters, and Makoto is essentially a mix of Blake and Yang. There's also Gene from God Hand, which Yang would lose, because how how absurd the powers of the God Hand are.
A corpse should be left well enough alone...I heard it was Tifa.
We're all spitballing, truth is there a bunch of veritable opponents.
Unless Screw Attack's already released the preview, shrug.
I'M MR. MEESEEKS, LOOK AT ME!I think they usually release them on Wednesday.
And truth be told, either it'll be someone Yang can stop, because it'll be just a regular brawler and Yang just gets stronger the more you punch her, or she'll lose horribly because I'M NOT SALTY SUPERMAN IS TOTALLY A GOOD CHARACTER AND DEATH BATTLE HAS PROVEN TO BE ABLE TO MAKE FAIR MATCHUPS.
Well the fans literally asked for Superman vs Goku (though perhaps not the outcome), so that one isn't really Death Battles fault. A better example for your salt would have been Gaara vs Toph, given that most everyone is in agreement that that match was wrong on multiple levels.

No, it'll be Tifa, you think they can resist that?
Look, it is obvious that Superman would have beaten Goku. Goku has limits, whereas Superman has none. It's that simple, and before you ask, I'm a fan of both Superman and Dragon Ball Z, I have no bias for one or the other.
The only thing I'm wondering is just why do people want them to fight? Wouldn't the two of them teaming up and fighting a villainous alliance of Freeze and Darkseid be cooler?
Have you any dreams you'd like to sell?Well, I think that Death Battle and by extension One Minute Melee has proven to avert Kill the Cutie (See Rainbow Dash, Toph, Izayoi, and Kirby). So Yang's victory is in the bag.
Unless they decide to subvert it.

I could care less about Superman vs. Goku. Ragna the Bloodedge vs Sol Badguy was completely unforgivable. Poor research on both sides (Especially Ragnas) but the ending was also lazy and ALSO incorrect!. (THE BLACK BEAST IS IMMUNE TO NUKES ASJHSKJDHDHHJG)
I have no idea who either of those are.

Did any chararter in comics have limits? by the lenght and way of storytelling, almost any comic chararter have been able to do things beyond limits, that is why Im really annoying by Raiden vs Thor because I knew very well the result.
"My Name is Bolt, Bolt Crank and I dont care if you believe or not"Ragna is from Blazblue while Sol Badguy is from Guilty Gear.
There's a rivalry between both fandoms since GG came first and was basically the grandfather of anime fighting games, while Blabzlue was its spiritual successor.

Not always. Some characters do have limits. Its just that writers don't always follow said limits.

Superman is as strong as he needs to be. We literally have a trope named after that. He has no limits.
Have you any dreams you'd like to sell? That's stupid. Not as stupid as dick-waving contests over whose daddy fictional character can beat the other's, but just barely.
You are, in fact, very correct. I'm trying to compete for a lower weight division in (amateur) MMA, so I'm cutting weight.
It's miserable.
