the whole "hereditary semblence " was clearly a retcon as world of remance said they are unique, but giving EVERY chararter a semblence is complete pain in the ass.

In fact it show in the 4x4 fights where NOBODY on the enemy teams use their semblence, only the heros until Yang&Weiss vs Flink&Neon, so having a semblence show they are important.

Also is there any confirmation that Adam semblence is his cut-hand move? and what is Cinder semblence? I will said is her bow made of ash(fitting with her)

According to the Volume 3 Finale livestream awhile back, Adam's semblance hasn't been shown yet.

He's just naturally that strong. What type of monster is he?

A Faunus, of course.

Of course, if that's not his Semblance, then how did he do it? The implication seems to be that's part his sword, part his raw skill/power (given it has to be powered up before it can Moonslice).

That clearly looks like a Semblence with him absorbing attacks into his body complete with his hair glowing (which looks similarly like Yang's semblence and acts like it to implying it's a similar semblence like how Blake and Sun have similar yet different ones)

If it is a retcon, it's not a big one. Very early in the show, Monty was talking in one interview about Semblances being 'unique' to individuals, but he said they are inherited from parents to some degree that he wasn't particularly clear about - that won't make a parent and child's Semblance identical, but he didn't really answer the question of how similar they could get.

We certainly see that Weiss's Semblance manifestations are different to Winter's. Yes, they have the same core categories to their ability (glyphs, summoning, time distortion, etc.) but that doesn't mean they're carbon copies of each other's. Similar, yes. Identical, no.

In other news: Just got back from the Volume 2 showing in Providence.

Theater was just as packed as last time

I'm pretty sure they said the Schnee semblence is the same for all of them. They just use it differently based on the person. Weiss can't summon, and likes to use lots of dust, while Winter can summon, and is more physical and doesn't rely on dust at all, presumably because she's been cut off from the family supply, but they could use it as each other does if Weiss had the skill and Winter chose to use lots of dust instead.

Yeah I dont see it the diference, Winter just more skill than Weiss about, also I think Winter will have dust from Atlas dosent ? being specialist and all they can give to it.

I'm sure she can get dust now if she really needs it, but she's mostly trained herself to not use or need it much because she was probably cut off from the family when she joined the military and rose through the ranks without it. Especially if she went through Atlas academy first.

Where as Weiss brought whole suitcases full of the stuff with her.

The Schnee's Semblance heritage could also be explained by them deliberately grooming their descendants to have identical personalities. That is assuming that genetics are at least a minor factor and a Semblance looks after manifesting.

So Remnant's version of Red Riding Hood is Ruby's Mary Sue Self-Insert story. Interesting.

Also, I was half expecting someone to tell, "Goddammit, Barb!" from all of Yang's puns.

Blake: "You're looking good for your age."

Yang: "I workout."

Blake: "Uh, aren't you supposed to be in bed?"

Yang: "Easy there wolfy, you haven't eaten bought me dinner yet."

Blake: I'm just gonna move this along and eat her.

I like how Zwei can apparently lift a teenager with his might dog grip

I like how Ozpin was nearly 2/3 through the story before he realized they were skipping class.

I like how apparently a teacher was watching and didn't notice they were skipping

Ozpin is definitely the Old Man from the Maiden fable.

Some joke I have with Ozpin is him being so old that values dissoance all over the place

"You know Gilda, I dont know why this Jaune boy dosent get close to Weiss, all that he need is to come close, behead that blue heair boy and reclaim Weiss as is blood-bride"
