Summer 2013 Anime Season

19 series plus two spring leftovers. One frickin' season. Why is it that I am not picky when it comes to anime?^note Blood Lad, Danganronpa, Fate Kaleid Prisma Illya, Milky Holmes 3, Hyperdimension Neptunia, Gatchaman Crowds, Il Sole Penetra le Illusioni, Silver Spoon, The World God Only Knows 3, Kamisama No Inai Nichiyoubi, Kiniro Mosaic, Monogatari Series Second Season, Symphogear G, Senyuu 2, Servant x Service, C3-Bu, Tamayura 2, Uchouten Kazoku, and Its Not My Fault Im Not Popular. Plus Attack On Titan and Railgun S. I am not kidding, that's my summer list ATM.

I just noticed. What's the second noitaminA anime for the season? I only recall Silver Spoon being on the block.

I wonder if I have to watch Tamayura 1 to enjoy Tamayura 2.

I'm probably going to skip the TWGOK and Silver Spoon adaptations, to cut down the watchlist.

I'm pretty sure you don't have to, like you don't need to watch the OVAs to enjoy the first season.

I'll try it out, but man it'll feel weird to watch a continuation of a work I haven't watched.

It'll be a while before we have the full list anyway, so plenty of time to organize our thoughts.

Well, let's see where everything stands for me at the moment.

In no particular order for each level:

Definitely Watch:

• Hyperdimension Neptunia (this has been on the top of my list since it was first announced)
• The World God Only Knows III
• Tamayura 2
• Dangan Ronpa
• Its Not My Fault Im Not Popular
• C3-Bu (Strike Witches: Hit. Upotte!: Miss. Girls Und Panzer: Hit. Let's see where this winds up for me. Nice homage in the PV.)

Will Try:

• Blood Lad
• Fate Kaleid Prisma Illya
• Gatchaman Crowds
• Milky Holmes 3 (season 2 was a Guilty Pleasure; I'm curious if it's going in a different direction this time)
• Kamisama No Inai Nichiyoubi (I'm just going off of the description from the preliminary chart)
• Silver Spoon
• Kiniro Mosaic
• Il Sole Penetra Le Illusioni

Ones Where I Need to Catch Up on The Previous Seasons:

• Monogatari Series Second Season (I haven't even started on Nisemonogatari yet, so it's safe to say this will be on hold for now)
• Senyuu 2 (given that it's a shorts series, this will most likely stay on my summer list)

In Hot Water:

• Symphogear G (the first season was a trainwreck; I want to see if they manage to stabilize from that)
• Servant x Service (I liked Wagnaria!!/Working!!, but I'd be okay on passing on what's probably a similar substitute)
• Uchouten Kazoku (I think the main reason for this one was "because it's PA Works")

Okay, I never expected the first C3-Bu PV to be an homage to the Cowboy Bebop OP. How is it that this went under the radar?

I imagine the complete lack of any animation or even finished character designs didn't help...

Also, that's the reason I didn't add it to the list. I consider PVs like this one worthless

Suddenly, news again: InuHasa confirmed for July and Diamond's Ace for fall

I'd be interested in InuHasa, but Gonzo is making it...

I don't even know what Gonzo makes anymore.

Gonzo did one of the this year's Anime Mirai shows Ryo, and they are animating Spring's Zettai Bouei Leviathan, and they have two anime this Summer. Inu Hasa and Kimi no Iru Machi.

Anyway, the anime with the real "Go Home" Club will be animated by Nomad. Weird that they're doing this and co-doing Milky Holmes with J.C Staff, but DEEN are the ones working on the Rozen Maiden anime.

Oh, thanks. I'm getting some enjoyment out of Leviathan despite the poor production vales and nothing-special story, so maybe Gonzo can step it up for future projects.

... I do wonder if it's a good idea for them to animate Kimi no Iru Machi though.

In the first place, I think the main page of the LN article already has problems. You based the blurb off it right? But for some reason I just can't seem to put my finger on where the exact problem is...

BlazBlue Alter Memory confirmed for fall. I, uh, didn't really bother to write a proper blurb for this one, largely because I have no idea how to summarize it

noitaminA's second summer title will be revealed next week and both of the block's fall titles will be original series.
