Chapter 111 is out:
Souma had to eat a humble pie this time as it turns out preparing a full course meal is beyond his capabilities.
I liked this chapter quite a lot. Souma was reminded that there's still a lot that he needs to learn. I really like that he has realistic limitations - while he might have a lot of experience in the particular type of restaurant his father was running, outside of that comfort zone, he makes rookie mistakes.
I'm glad this won't be a repeat of the first week with Souma singlehandedly solving problems while being better than everyone around. Good for his development. Hopefully he'll learn a lot.
Yeah, it's good to see him fail. He comes off looking invincible too often.
Hope it's not too long before we can see Erina and Hisako again.

Yeah, I want to see how those two are doing now.
I like that chapter. Reminded me of the buffet challenge in the Training Arc where he was at a disadvantage because the environment and the scenario wasn't quite what he was expecting.
Full Anime PV:
Not sure if the foodgasms were bowdlerised or just look different due to the art style. And coming off the finale of Your Lie in April, I can't really wrap my head around Erina being voiced by the perky piano girl.
There's something insignificant written here, but because it's insignificant, you didn't read it.I think the foodgasms are fine, if a bit covered by the typical light censors (which I'm sure would be toned down in the uncensored DVD/Blu-ray release).
My Twitch.I hope they don't cut out the funny ones or the ones involving ugly old men and whatnot.
The silly ones are the best ones.
There's no good reason to exclude the Magical Cabbage brigade from this adaptation.
There's something insignificant written here, but because it's insignificant, you didn't read it.I want the duck hat opera.
How about we say we want it all?
The Soumaland was probably the funniest.
My favorite was the magical girls.
My Twitch. So long as they include any of the goofy scenes as well as the fanservice ones I'll be happy.
Anyway, thinking of reorganizing the character page to have less folders. Currently planning to have the Fall Finals folder absorb Alice, Ryou and Takumi, moving Isami and Ikumi to the 92nd generation folder and Konishi to the 93rd folder, which will become a students of other years folder. Any other suggestions would be appreciated.

Yeah, there's no need to have them in separate folders.
I'd lump "Don RS Club" through "Fall Classic Finalists" characters under one folder titled, "Reoccurring Students From The 92nd Generation" or something like that. The Don RS guy can go under "Others from the 92nd" (or 93rd, whichever one he's from), and Subaru can go under either.
Speaking of which, I wonder what Subaru's up to. Is he ditto fighting his current proctor or is he trying something new for a change?

There's something insignificant written here, but because it's insignificant, you didn't read it.Why not organize it as "Main Characters", "Main Supporting Characters" and Others?
My Twitch.^ We could, but I find that a little vague. I'm not sure who really counts as a main character either apart from Souma, Megumi and Erina with the latter mostly there because of how she's advertised. I also want to try avoiding having one folder with about three characters and another with fifty, which can be annoying to navigate.

Chapter 112: Yep, he came around after putting a lot of effort into it. He just barely made it, and he's not out in the clear yet, but he came quite far in just a single chapter. I like how Shinomiya is still a rough boss towards Soma, yet at the same time he has a healthy level respect for him.
The home stretch of the Tournament Arc may have been a drag, but it made for a fantastic Volume 12 cover.
There's something insignificant written here, but because it's insignificant, you didn't read it.I was expecting Shinomiya to point out that if he helped Souma more it might interfere with him developing his own specialty.
Specialties were the least of his worries when he could barely keep up with the workflow. I think that will come into play on the final day, now that he's got the hang of things.
There's something insignificant written here, but because it's insignificant, you didn't read it.First episode out. OP has hints of the cooking lodge, but no autumn festival. Hisako appears, but no Hayama. Guess that shows how far we're going to be getting. Well, I suppose there was space left over in the group shot to fit more characters. The OP itself kinda sucked.
Not that impressed, but then it's not adapting impressive content anyway.
I've been hearing Jouichirou's VA more recently than I used to. I suppose Fate Zero was a lucky break.
Do we know how many episodes it'll have? If it's gonna be 2-cour, then it'll probably switch openings in the second half for that.
I couldn't stop laughing throughout the second half of the episode due to how relentlessly ham-tastic the music was.
The animated foodgasms were...very disturbing. The first 10 chapters or so were pretty intense in that regard compared to the rest of the series, but seeing them animated as opposed to one or two very detailed pages in the manga was something else, to say the least.
No news on the episode count yet.
There's something insignificant written here, but because it's insignificant, you didn't read it.Well, it's the first shonen anime I have watched in 7-8 years, and I'm going to keep it so far. After all, I usually have fond memories on older series of this type. (Mister Ajikko and Cooking Papa come to mind.)
Watching this and Koufuku Graffiti back-to-back means I have to make some comparisons over the foodgasms—and the differences are as predictable as the difference between Shonen Jump and Manga Time Kirara, so say the least. Shokugeki has far more physical foodgasms, while in the case of Koufuku I can say the girls may "just" have more excitable dopamine and/or glutamine receptors. I'm sure the eminent domain people are literally aroused.
Did the manga actually state the origin of the school's name? I have a theory that can safely put under Artifact Title.
Scientia et Libertas | Per Aspera ad Astra NovaWelp, I believe I found another show to watch.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.
At the very least, it looks like a large amount of effort went into animating the food and the foodgasms.
The OP preview is less dramatic than I was expecting.
