So I kinda find it hard to believe that when your specialty is rare ingredients that you can use those new ingredients you find without that harming ecology since usually rare plants/animals are close to being wiped out

Anyway, this season should cover another 60 chapters, so everything from the Full Moon Banquet to Erina finding out who Jou is.
Hopefully it's 2 cour so they don't have to rush everything this time.

Sorry Erina, but Rindou-Senpai is replacing you as #1 in my heart.
I'm curious though what her true motives are in all of this. This chapter kind of gives the implication that her seat in the Elite 10 is more of a means to an end to allow her to discover and experiment with new ingredients. Seems like she'd be able to continue to do that with or without Central so I'm curious why she was okay with the takeover?
And now we wait for the other shoe to drop and S3 ends up becoming Anime Strike exclusive.

Well, besides what we we were told this chapter, she's in the Elite Ten because she wanted to be close to Tsukasa.
But, yeah, Rindo's awesome. Water is wet.

Without her vote, there would have been no majority. I think it's becoming clear that she only did this for Tsukasa.
I'm not sure about that. She made it clear in her first appearance she did it for fun.
Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession.
The two can be intertwined. She probably finds being with him more fun than most things. And all the "crushing" of people who resist seems to be pretty fun to her too.

She probably only joined both to follow Tsukasa and to continue being able to do whatever the she wants.

- Rindo: "Rare ingrediants"
- Megishima: Ramen
- Momo: Desserts
- Somei: Not mentioned but going by his look probably Washoku (traditional Japanese cuisine)
- Nene: Same as above
- Isshiki: Same as the above two
- Kuga: a specific brand of Chinese that I can't remember/can't spell
All that leaves is Eizan and Erina, and I'm not even they'd have anything like that.
I just remember it as the the spiciest Chinese food.

Third season confirmed? Seems like my laziness has served me well. Just gotta wait another four months.

Also, while Rindou said she did this for fun, she's been shown pretty consistently to not really like the direction Azami is taking the school and has done next to nothing to support him up to this point. I mean, it's an institution that's all about crushing innovation and she's a cook that focuses on doing weird things.
Well, as far as this match goes, I expect it to be treated as closer than the other two (which I figure will be blow outs in Central's favor) but for Rindo to still come out the winner.
I expect her to stomp in order to build hype. "Wow, third seat guy is so far above us and yet Rindou beat him easily!"

It'd be good for building up hype, but Megishima is their best member atm. It'd be kind of stupid for someone lesser than him to beat her. Besides, Megishima and Rindou are the closest in terms of rank, it'd be kind of absurd that she completely stomps him.
Anyway, while Rindou doesn't exactly support Central actively, she doesn't seem opposed to them either...atm. Like I said, she's a neutral party that just so happens to oppose the protagonists.
I could definitely see her pulling a Heel–Face Turn and being the one to face Tsuakasa.

Honestly, I don't know how I would feel about reducing her motivations down to just him either way: whether that means she really is only going along with this to make him happy, or it's something along the lines that she thought all of this would teach him a lesson about "putting himself in his food" or something.

Yeah, but it would be kind of weaksauce, and perhaps a bit too convoluted for my tastes. Which might be weird consider how Serious Business all of this is, but, eh.
And Rindou's actual specialty turns out to be still batshit crazy. Mmm, crocodile meat. But then chili peppers have greater use in ramen, Megishima's specialty... which really just means the guy's gonna lose.
Also cool that Rindou apparently helped discover several species. But the main takeaway is that the artist wanted to dress up Rindou in a bunch of different outfits. And that conference of darkness needs to happen.
