How come when you search for "Shokugeki no Soma" on MyAnimeList, the series anime dropdown includes Fate/Stay Night: Unlimited Bladed Works? Is it the same redhead kid?

Well in a way...
No, Soma is not Shirou, the only thing they share is red hair and an affinity for cooking. And their dads having the same VA.
Tho given one of the recent chapters (the one that gave me my current avatar), its pretty funny.

A lazy millennial who's good at what he does. For those those who believe some of the jewel generations students becomes a Fallen Hero, here's your answer: onepiece-naruto.com/blog-entry-1528.html

I see Azami's influence is spreading...
Yea, obvious twist was obvious but at least this is an opponent I can care about.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.Look at that worthless piece of shit. Hayama pretty smug for Central's newest bitch. Acting like he got on Elite 10 by merit. Trash.
I never liked that smug asshole, but this is a new low even for him. Can't wait for Souma to wipe out that sneer from his face.
And there he is. And he's totally blowing off Shiomi, which gives 99% odds he's actually here for revenge against Azami.
In any case, this is the one person in the Elite Ten I can believe that Souma could beat. There is no way that Ryouko or whatever could, though, so I can only assume winning isn't actually required. Hell, Daigo and the other guy are among the rebels, right? Not a chance.
^ You actually believe he abandoned mommy that easily?

What, you think he sacrificed the seminar and joined Central as a part of some plot to destroy it from within? That would be stupid.
Still way less stupid than him abandoning his mother figure for no reason.
"Please crush me with your heels Esdeath-sama!Either he wants to destroy Central from within or was blackmailed into joining. I can't believe this sudden of a turnabout.

It's been foreshadowed since the Election Final that Hayama might turn to the "dark side". This shouldn't come off as surprise to anyone.
I'm almost 100% sure he's being blackmailed; Dudes got one hell of an Oedipus Complex and forgetting that would be even worse writing
It's funny to see Shulgo trash talk him when Soma's never beaten him (tho he probably could now, but we said that about the Autumn Elections).

A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.Even if Hayama is blackmailed the trash talking still makes him look like an ass. Like, dude Azami knows he's blackmailing you, so what's the point pretending you actually buy into that crap?
because muh pride. He doesn't want anyone to get involved and be hurt so he acts like an ass to push people away
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.Yeah, there's obviously something more to this. Still funny reading Shulgo trash talk him though.
So if he's interim number nine, doe that mean that everyone else just moved up one? Probably, at least until they shokugeki it out to decide the proper order or whatever else they do in a situation like this.
Shlugo: You mean the tournament that ended with him hugging Shiomi in relief in front of a huge crowd and had Doujima go 'Nah, I guess as long as he's got buddies like Ryou and Souma he'll be okay'?
And so once again, Junichi Suwabe plays a brown skinned, white haired edgelord.
Coincidently, he's an antagonist to red haired main character.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.Well that was quite the not-surprise.
I think you're letting personal feeling cloud your judgement here Shlugo....I gotta pay better attention to how you spell your name.
Anyway, I kinda bought it at first, but the arguments against it make sense. We'll see what goes down sooner or later.
One Strip! One Strip! So it seems like someone really wants to have Hayama on the Elite Ten page just to redirect any reader to the page he's actually listed on. Is there any point to this?
Even if the point of this is to keep Soma from losing, what about everyone else who's going up against a more established member of the Elite Ten?
It's good to know the first two people were just assholes acting on their own. It makes Azami seem a bit less like a cartoon villain.
Could be that the others will be fighting the other two Elite Ten neophytes. That still leaves a fourth, though.
There's more than three rebels.
Kind of weird that Erina didn't seem to know about this.
Oh man, Yukihee-land was even better animated lol.
