Yeah if I can't recreate my hot redhead Russian babe I'm gonna be hella pissed.

I liked the Latina voice. But I liked Troy Baker too.

I want more voices in general.

In the Idol Ninja interview, they said that you'll be able to import from Saints Row the Third directly into Saints Row IV. *wry grin* Benefits of this essentially being an extended mod pack, I suppose.

Well, this is using the same engine as III isn't it? And III allowed you to upload your character, so its only natural. Doesn't mean its not awesome though. So that at least confirms most of the voices from III are back, doesn't it?

Kensie and Pierce sound the same while Eliza Dushku is confirmed to return. Plus, Terry Crews is rumored to be The Other Darrin for Ben King.

I know Laura Bailey is returning so Female Voice 1 is confirmed. Plus if Matt Miller is back meaning Yuri Lowenthal is back meaning Tara Platt might be back so Russian Voice could be back.

The Idol Ninja interview was mentioned but no one linked to it. It's here and it honestly alleviates a lot of my concerns over the game whilst still being completely honest about what features aren't going to make it in. The fact that Volition is working with Idol Ninja to make a proper modkit is really awesome and I can't wait to see what the Gentlemen come up with.

Now if only something could be done about Australia continuing to censor shit AGAIN even after we got an R rating.

Gah, they had DAMN well have one of equal awesomeness.

Is it 100% that the Russian isn't returning? It just said that Tara Platt wouldn't be doing it. Or did I not read it fully?

For whatever reason they don't have the original voice actor for the Russian voice but that doesn't necessarily mean there's no Russian voice at all. They still kept the British voice in SR 3, just with a different actor and I thought it was fine since the only difference was that SR 3's voice actor had a more gruff and gravelly voice which seemed like an appropriate evolution of the character.

I'm more upset at all the clearly important plot elements and scenes that were cut from SR 3 for being "too dark". They would've added much more weight to the story, made Killbane a villain worth caring about and would've prevented SR 3 from being as lelsorandumb as it was.

Yo SS, what was cut? I never picked up a copy, but I was thinking about what with the sales coming on up and all.

^It's Saints Row 4, not 3, that game hasn't been censored. From what I've read, SR 4 is being censored in Australia with Shaundi's Loyalty mission is being cut because of all the drug references. And also a weapon called the Rectifier was cut since it involved buttstuff.

I'm ok with the weapon being removed but according to guys like Idol Ninja, Shaundi's loyalty mission is one of the best quests in the game so I really don't want to play a game where one of the better missions is axed over some BS.

I feel better about this after watching more trailers (and seeing Keith David). Now I'm confused about how much of it takes place in the simulation.

I don't think you are alone in that. It's one of the reasons why I am going to wait until the game gets a Steam sale outing.

Also, re: censorship of video games in Australia - well, folks, time to vote for a government that won't treat you like two year olds in the next election, eh?

So? Just broaden it out into state level. Censorship "to protect the children" is always shit when it affects stuff that only adults should have access to. If kids do play adult rated games with all the consequences those bring then it is their parents fucking fault. That's just flat out bad parenting.

I have seen nine and ten year old boys and girls being bought Grand Theft Auto IV and Gears of War for pity's sake.

@Aussies: can't you just import a US or EU copy or something? Unless you have an xbox, I guess.

So there are better things to petition. Like harsher penalities for rapists. (That's a friend's petition, if you have the chance, please check it out).

It's complicated, importing games. You'd have to use a freight forwarder, since all the named sites don't accept Australian credit cards for video games and some other items. And while I've not bothered with the maths, I'm not sure it's worth the price. Could be though, since games over here see a pretty huge mark-up in prices.

Joystiq has pretty much confirmed Nolan North as one of the voices.

Take a trip to Southeast Asia and buy the game from a totally reputable businessman?

There's a lot of online stores in the UK that specifically target the Australian market, since they can sell them cheaper than it costs to buy them here. This is how I buy a lot of my console games.

Assuming the UK version isn't censored, that's what I'll be buying.

The other two Female voices are French and Southern.

The special voice is Nolan North Adam Westing.

I should clarify, it wasn't cut because it was gay. The Rectifier was cut because it was a gun that shot at peoples' butts and and made them scream and die which the Classification board thought was sexual assault and Rapey.

Understandable that it made them uncomfortable, but that's what we have an R Rating for and worse games have gotten through with more explicit scenes uncensored anyway (Looking at you Witcher 2).
