Original. The replacement is way too dark and hides the trope.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanCheck out my fanfiction!
I don't think the change is a Bad Image, but I think the original is Better.
...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.I really wish we could have this be readable at wiki size◊.
No such luck sadly.
I reverted it and put up an edit reason about using IP for page pic changes. Now that that's done, I'm voting Keep Until Better Image Suggested on the current.
Well, technically, someone did. :) (Obviously, if the person didn't think it was better, he wouldn't have suggested it in the first place. :))
We could crop out the alien in the center and link to the full version in the caption.
I kinda prefer the sort of stale and stiff image the current presents, since it feels clinical and scientifical, which are traits associated with The Greys.

Check out my fanfiction!I'd really favor something with a better art style, just coz I find it looks uncomfortably like early 3d graphics... But I fully admit it's my own dislike for what looks like N64 era graphics.
Sectoid Concept Art◊ on bland background for fans of clinical look.

Your third suggestion is on Alien Autopsy.
I notice that our page actually uses the same image that Wikipedia does, but smaller.
Sketches from the Betty and Barney Hill Incident◊. (I'd also link to The Bellero Shield but the archetype has rather changed since then.)
Close Encounters of the Third Kind◊
Indiana Jones: Kingdom◊ of the Crystal Skull◊
The Revolution Will Not Be TropeableI like the original too. As somebody else said, the sciency art style really drives the point home.
As awesome as Roger is, I'm not going to suggest my avatar. Too snarky and cartoonish.

Sectoid Concept art is my favorite so far.
Clock is set.
I vote we just use the Wikipedia page image◊.
The Revolution Will Not Be TropeableUm, the previous image was already derived from that.
An Ear Worm is like a Rickroll: It is never going to give you up.Yes, the one that was changed without permission.
The Revolution Will Not Be Tropeable1.2 looks pretty good to me; the greys look sneaky and have little ray guns attached to their arms. Can't get much more stereotypical than that.
The Sectoid concept art is also nice looking.
Fight. Struggle. Endure. Suffer. LIVE.I'm good with the current.
Clock's up; locking for inactivity/lack of consensus. No further action is to be taken based on this thread.
The pic for The Greys was changed without discussion. So here are the original and the replacement. I think the original is better, myself.
