Oh, funny. I've been kinda working for maybe all of 30 minutes, then I got that itch to see what's up on the internet and this is what I see.
Ok, ok, I'll do some real work... ;D
But I'm happy for you, Ori. A long time ago, I decided I liked First Person, but I always admire the writers who can weave PO Vs and plot lines together.
Writing interwoven storylines is basically writing separate stories with shoutouts to the others. It's a tiny universe of its own.
This is one of the best lectures on writing I've ever seen. Seriously, watch it. O.o
If I were to write some of the strange things that come under my eyes they would not be believed. ~Cora M. Strayer~OMG I did it again... I sat down to write the next chapter and spent two hours editing what's already in the can... Augggh...! I am the worst at writing!
31 days until Na No Wri Mo ... everyone ready?
I actually put up a poll on my fanfic.net profile to ask my fans what I should focus on this year. So far the response is overwhelming.
That’s the epitome of privilege right there, not considering armed nazis a threat to your life. - SilaswWell, I haven't decided yet whether or not I'm going to actually participate this year. A lot will likely depend on how my grandfather's doing at that point.
And while I've mostly decided which story I'll write about if I do participate, there's still some major stuff I need to figure out plot-wise.
I might take a hand in it this year for once.

Who watches the watchmen? It's not a very solid or quick process, my latest project. The plot is the same, but the setting and title shifted around a bit. Actually, a lot.
It started out as Black Bowls, a period piece, and describes the key feature of my universe's alchemy—alchemists default to using black dishes rather than white, to differentiate themselves from haute cuisine. Then it became a modern fantasy and I tried out the title Go to Bed Hungry.
Now it's still a modern piece, but since Go to Bed Hungry sounds more like a short story, I want to go back to a short title. I like having an allusion and describing my universe, but I don't like alliteration for this project.
I settled on Kettle Black, as in, "here's the pot calling the kettle black", but then I realized it sounded too much like Orphan Black. Now I need to find more food related proverbs.

So a female fan gave me what is possibly the best compliment I've received yet on my novel series:
"I would definitely point most teenage girls towards your books. I can't think of many better ways of showing what a realistic female hero can look like, as well as the costs involved in trying to be one. And I'm not kissing your ass here, I really mean it."
Y'all excuse me while I have a case of the warm-fuzzies...:D
If I were to write some of the strange things that come under my eyes they would not be believed. ~Cora M. Strayer~A wild Drunk Scrib has appeared. What's up man?
That's great. Didn't you also get a compliment on a decent female lead character as well?
Who watches the watchmen?@Tuef: not much sir. Work is slow so I have some time to be around.
And yeah, I've gotten more than a few compliments in that direction. This one was just a "d'aawww, twern't nuthin" moment for me. I mean, its one thing for women to like the series but its something else again for somebody to think Amber's a good role model for young women. That makes me all kinds of happy.
If I were to write some of the strange things that come under my eyes they would not be believed. ~Cora M. Strayer~Glad to see you around.
Yeah that sounds like a good kind of warm fuzzy.
Who watches the watchmen?I've decided to enter a contest for ten-minute plays. Today, after three hours of talking about completely random things, I spent two hours writing the first four pages.
The deadline is in a week. I might not make it, but at least I tried to get something written and finished.
After spending more time this weekend playing The Witcher and Metro2033 than writing, I made up for it today, cranking out almost 3500 words tonight. So I'm a full day ahead by word count, and my average is staying pretty high. Which I'll need as I go back to work on Wednesday and start suffering work-related exhaustion.

Sitting at Chili's for their Veterans day special. I don't have a red pen, and I just found a spelling mistake in the menu. Also my wife is shaking her head about my posting this.
That’s the epitome of privilege right there, not considering armed nazis a threat to your life. - SilaswI put my word count over what I can store in the online transfer. Oops. I wasn't paying attention and lost work yesterday.
Who watches the watchmen?Awww... :(
Poor Teuf. Good luck recreating it.
Today's word count: 3,333. I was about to keep writing, when I noticed both that number, and that I'm ending the chapter on an "I love you" between mom and daughter. So I think that's an excellent place to call it quits for the night.

Schild und Schwert der ParteiAchae: As an official minion in my evil army you have to earn your pay somehow.
After I bang out my paper work tomorrow I will get back to writing. I need to make a second digital link for me to use filled up my first one.
Who watches the watchmen? When did this happen? Did you slip me a shilling in the bottom of a glass of beer or something
Schild und Schwert der ParteiYour last pint, that pudding a while back, oh and there was ground up shilling in your supper every few nights for a month last year. Don't worry I had it washed first. Though if by shilling you mean high tech nano-machines that have unwittingly made you a member of my regime you would be right. :P. That is a great name for such a device. "The Shilling" and being given or taking the shilling a metaphor for having the technology implanted into you by choice or other method.
Hmm might make an interesting story in and of itself.>:D
Who watches the watchmen?
So my novel is coming along really well. I'm forging into entirely new territory for me. Three split storylines, which all must be cohesively connected. it's easy and hard at the same time. Easy because instead of 4 main characters interacting (and trying to balance spotlight time) I have 1 or 2 main characters acting out their own stories, so I don't have to worry about spotlights). Hard because each one must have action and each action must have reactions in the other plotlines. (otherwise, why write it?)
Fun! I love a meaty challenge that keeps me up at night.
Doodles
