The EA panel was just done.

TB and Genna just expressed their disappointment and boredom about the conference. Sure, the company hyped up Star Wars with Amy Hennig on one of the games, and showcased an aspiring, beautiful indie game in the middle, but by god much of the rest of it is pretty dull, with very little in terms of gameplay.

Oh yes. It was either melodramatic monologues about sports and esports, sports gameplay, or fucking trailers that were not trailers.

EA supercut. Bethesda conference in about an hour.

EDIT: The Bethesda conference is also over. Now this is MUCH better! Started with Quake (and I did miss a pretty big chunk of the conference after it), but the real highlight is Dishonored 2, which featured gameplay footage for a change.

A rather "clumsy" (his words) eulogy of sorts to Jonas aka PBJ Mayhem, a longtime viewer from the Wo W Radio days that died in the recent Orlando shootings.

He and Genna actually made a new subreddit that is not r/Cynical Brit to avoid the toxicity of that community for a while.

It's hardly a rage, he put out one tweet, hell I don't think he actually put the tweet out, he presumably sent it to the guy that controls his social media account and had him put it out. Plus it's a thing that's fair enough to rage about if he did, it's seriously dangerous to put out that kind of info, TB has enough fans that he's probably got some crazy ones that might turn up at his house if they found out where it is.

But yeah he's back on Reddit now with an offical fan subreddit, it's a good place, I haven't gone back to the fan one since.

TB has some choice words related to the CSGO situation:

What's this CSGO situation? I thought he was just talking about this Youtube internet journalism situation that has been going on a for awhile

Edit: Nevermind. I read the links in the description of the video. I can easily see what the problem is now and I will agree that this type of thing is disgusting...

Can someone shorten this for me? At one side I hear two known youtubers known for gambling in csgo, and on Biscuit's side, I hear that h3 and a bit of others are lying. I did watch the vid but tbh if I don't understand it, then I'm staying neutral till I know the single tiniest of details.

What I've got from the video is that as much as TB dislikes drama channels for their disregard for people's life, he feels the CSGO gambling case is so profoundly upsetting it does bear being shone a light on.

He goes a bit more into it in his Q&A today and also the gambling has no age restrictions. These CSGO gambing sites are technically using children to make a cut on gambling real money since they can 'cash out' and Steam is enabling them, in addition to FCC violations with youtubers making under the table paid promotions and such.

Basically, two popular CSGO youtubers were promoting a website called CSGO Lotto, where people were able to bet their skins and stuff. They did a bunch of videos, which showed them winning big. Turns out that these Youtubers (who have lots of kids in their audiences) fucking founded the website.

And were shilling it to kids of at least 14 years to go and gamble away their parents' money, while "playing" it on their channels and setting up dummy accounts to win against so get more views and direct more people to the website.

This isn't just jerkish behavior, this is illegal.

I keep hearing back and forth on whether or not this crosses into illegality. I feel certain it does, but can anyone site the laws specifically that these two fuckers break?

For instance, I know it's stated that gambling underage is illegal, but I'm trying to find where it's stated exactly.

This wasn't even the first time one of those guys was caught doing something like this either. One of them got in trouble for not making there financial connections known to a game named Dead Realm despite still presenting it as a game they were not affiliated with.....

Part of what disgusts me about it though is these guys are already making tons and tons of money that very few people can hope to make through this medium. And what do they do? They just keep trying to come up with shady schemes to get more money

Also gambling in your own casino is illegal as fuck, because you could rig the entire thing and thus you're providing a false advertisement and trying to scam people.

Oh and on top of that doing a video advertising a service and not disclosing relevant financial benefits (like the fact that you own the fuckign thing your advertising) breaks FTC rules.

Oh and pushing for children to gamble is also illegal, because duh.

But really. Valve's to blame, and nothing's been done about it. CS:GO has been out for how long? And it's key system basically a slot machine. Aimed at kids. No one's bothered Valve with puny things like gambling laws.
