Getting off on the fantasy of a physically and emotionally prepossessing man is not the same as actually wanting to have children with one, or even have sex with one. Likewise, a man can be physically powerful and sexually dominant while still being a deeply considerate and sensitive individual with a lot of respect for his partner.

God, it's like Ayn Rand, all that BDSM projection going on and she's treating it like fact. Speaking as a dominant individual in that respect, I really have to say that this lady has it all wrong, in so many ways.

Nah. It might feel that way sometimes, but if you are willing to learn from your mistakes and accept your own flaws then you will improve in one way or another. Only those for whom it is truest are completely un-stung by such exceptionally crafted put-downs, and it is on them that such sick burns are wasted.

I assume that Hair Guy has learned his lesson and will better his life for there on out.

also, one issue i have against this answer against pick up artist and "nice guy" is the idea that if a girl reject you, is only because you have a really deep problem and nothing else, in the end i will be the same thing "she reject you? try harde, againt? try EVEN harder"

See, the problem with "pick-up artists" is that their methods tend to be pretty shitty

I will sign in as a shy small (seriously I am 5'4 and I am 17) male feminist, sadly I have met a few feminazis before (they are rare but oh boy are they loud) but I hate brush stroking and generalizing organizations.

I have had a particularly bad time at the hands of douchebag males and females who judged me for being sensitive and feminine. I absolutely despite how both of concepts those are viewed as weakness by society and I really wish to get rid of it along with many other things that can be considering sexist. Double Standards and insensitivity towards human issues get my blood boiling real fast.

I know hwo you feel, I have fight a lot with my brother for his notions of being a man(be like him) and some woman that for all the babling about equality they really like the sterotypical "hot boy"

In fact, while the concept of Nice guy is interstant, something It fill It defelect everything into a "is you the problem because you are a loser, grow up" with just feel the same victimization complex the nice guy already have

I hate the term feminazis. Not because I don't acknowledge that some self-proclaimed feminist misappropriate the movement but because I refuse to use any term popularized by Rush Limbaugh who thinks any feminist is a feminazi.

Also "feminazi" ignores that advocating for male supremacy is cool, but when women do the reverse it's bad.

And wanting equality and still only dating who you find hot isn't mutually exclusive. No one is going to criticize a man for dating a hot girl, no matter how nice an unattractive girl who likes him may be.

There is a difference between having an "argument" and having a "debate". The former is, AFAIK, only started by someone who comes into it with the express purpose of "defeating" the other party in any way possible, or is not willing to accept the possibility that s/he might be wrong (or at least, that the other party may have a good point, and thus isn't "completely wrong").

As for debates (with sometimes, yes, arguments) the Women's Issues thread in OTC proves that yes, you can.

It's counter to what forum covens are for however. Debates, well debates about the ideology the place is about in the first place, I mean I'm pretty sure say sex-positive versus sex-negative feminism would be allowed, though I can't really say, as I'm not a mod.

You know how a lot of works fail the Bechdel Test?

It makes me wonder as a dude:

Why the hell would they talk about just men anyway? Surely there must be more interesting things to talk about than that. It's not like guys always talk about girls, unless you have a job involving interacting with them in regular basis or something.

Would it really hurt to show women talking about things like vacation plan, new car, great restaurant, etc?

Unless it's a Slice of Life movie, topics like the above would be entirely extraneous to the plot. That being the case, the problem becomes that women make up such a small percentage of important characters in movies. So even if you have two, that's all you have and neither of them is the main protagonist or the main villain. So whatever they end up discussing, in a well-written script, swings right back to the dudes.

It depend how you fail the bechel test, is female chararter have a brother and she supect he is dealing with bad stuff(drugs for example) them it make sense she talk with her best friend about it.

On the other hand when the only thing she talk is about guys and how hot they are....yeah

I meant feminist always wants better feminist leads of chararter and that is fine enought, but how about woman villians? considering how important they are nowdays, did someone wants a good villian who is also a woman?

In my case I have a few female chararter who really shine in this from Glados(videogames) Azula(western animation) and esdeath(anime)
