Didn't the sizzle reel for "exclusive" indies for PS 4 also show games already available on PC?
Typically, when they refer to "exclusive" indies, it means console exclusive, unless they make a really big deal out of them.
That's an odd definition of Exclusive don't cha think?
hashtagsarestupidWelcome to the modern game industry. Microsoft also doesn't appear to give a crap about computers when it comes to game exclusivity.
Lampshade Hanging: It's a lifestyle. It's a real shame that Microsoft is keeping its games and computer business at arms reach from each other.
The X Bo X 360 had a huge selections of great titles because it made it intentionally easy to from PC down-to-earth console. something that the one seems to be failing at.
hashtagsarestupidSo according to Shu, they actually cut a few game announcements in lieu of keeping the production shorter.
They plan on improving the PS 4's situation in Japan with this coming TGS being a major factor in that. I look forward to news on Gravity Rush 2
And regarding Tomb Raider, here's how the interview with Jim Ryan (president of SCEE) went:
It's a nice way of putting it, but I remember last E3 had them buying a lot of timed exclusivity. Still, I like the total confidence in that statement.

If the PS 4 was doing badly Sony would be trying to buy as many exclusives as they could.
hashtagsarestupidOkie dokie, I'm buying mine this afternoon. My PS 3 has gotten a little twitchy and I don't want to wear it out on Netflix and whatnot.
Can someone recommend a game? Some of my favorite PS 3 games are Assassin's Creed II, Dragon Age, Red Dead Redemption, and Mass Effect 2. I'm planning to pre-order DAI and AC: Unity.
The new Metal Gear is a must.
Assassin's Creed IV was good.
Oh really when?Story is incredible but Metal Gear does have a bit of an issue with Continuity Lockout
Oh really when? And it's pretty short. Which is only an issue because you'll be finished your first game pretty quickly.
inFamous: Second Son would be a good game to start with, in my opinion.
Or The Last Of Us Remastered, if you didn't play it on PS 3.

Battlefield 4 is good on the PS 4 if you don't have it for the PC for whatever reason.
Watch Dogs is ok I guess.

Oh really when?GZ is way longer if you go for 100%.
Well, MGSV is not quite out yet, aside from Ground Zeroes, which is to The Phantom Pain what the Tanker Chapter is to Big Shell in MGS 2, only sold separately. Gameplay-wise, and graphically, it is excellent. Story wise, it closes the threads left open by Peace Walker and serves to setup the beginning of MGSV:TPP, but is really short if you know what you're doing. As in, a skilled player can complete the story mission in a matter of minutes.
Aside from that there are also a number of extra missions, some of which can be played and completed very differently each time. There are also a bunch of collectable audio tapes in game that provide further exposition on the experiences of other characters, including a ~10 minute tape for the antagonist which is considered by many to be among the greatest voice acting they have ever heard.
There is some debate about whether Ground Zeroes is ultimately worth its price (was sold $30 retail) given the variable length of the story content, and many are electing to wait until The Phantom Pain is released before they buy GZ. At the same time, TPP isn't expected to release for quite some time, and GZ allows plays to actually have something, and allow veterans to adapt to the new open-world design, instead of just sitting around waiting.
Edit: Sorta 'd; and pretty much what said.

PSN ID: FateSeraph | Switch friendcode: SW-0145-8835-0610 Congratulations! She/TheyMetro Redux is coming out in a couple weeks.
It's just an Updated Re-release of Metro 2033 and Metro Last Light but those were both incredible games.
Some of the prettiest games of their generation so I imagine they'd look amazing on the PS 4.
Oh really when? When I get the thing I'm going to see if maaaaaybe the expiration date for ACIV hasn't been set in stone. I've done that before for other expired gift cards. For $10 I'd totaly buy the PS 4 version. Waaaaater effects!
Anyway, Sony has planned their own pre-show before TGS starts.
...and it's for Japan by the way. In case it wasn't obvious.
yes but I don't think Sony has ever done quite as badly as 'em. Even at $499 they're still selling their consoles at a loss.
hashtagsarestupidA fine little hottie lady I talked to at work told me about her PS 4. Total jelly. Getting mine next Friday.
"I don't give a rat's ass about going to hell. I guess it's because I feel like I'm already there." -MugenI think losing all the profits from the best selling console in history is about as bad as a console-maker can possibly do. The hefty $599 price tag was still selling at a loss, and yet Sony's list of seventh-gen exclusives are mostly populated by 1st-party titles. MS are just more inclined to buy exclusivity than Sony.
Anyway, the PSN has gone down due to wide-scale DDOS attacks, but Sony clarified that no personal information has been lost. They went after Riot's League of Legends servers servers too, along with Blizzard's Battle.net servers.
The same group made a bomb threat on a plane carrying Sony Online Entertainment head John Smedley.
A group calling themselves Lizard Squad have taken responsibility on Twitter for the attacks.

Lizard Squad? What a bunch of a-holes.
Why? What do terrorists have to gain from this? Don't they have anything better to do, like jump off a cliff, or God forbid, use their computer skills to do good?
Cortex should take a 12-step plan off a 10-step pier

It's show time. Might as well live-blog while I'm here.
So far a new trailer for LBP3 and Bloodborne. Seems to be just sizzle trailers.
...And now it actually starts. Here's SCEE's president.
Oooh, 10 million units sold, all sold-through. Great news.
The PixelJunk guys are doing a new game called The Tomorrow Children. Not sure what to make of it. Minecraft meets The Sims?
This next one seems to be a mystery game. The Vanishing of Ethan Carter...
The Thomas Was Alone people are doing a Robin Hood-based game called Volume. Steal, Create, Be Hard.
Now they're talking about some exclusivity with Paradox, with some game called Runemaster.
Looks like one of the Day-Z guys is taking the stage, talking about how big it was. Seems like it's getting ported.
Oh good. Ninja Theory is back. It's called Hell Blade.
For the first time in ages, we get to hear about RIME. Feels like an old Disney trailer.
And here's a sizzle trailer based on exclusive indies. Interesting.
On to talking about Destiny. It was only a matter of time. Here's Activision's pres, trying to tell you why Destiny is better on PS 4. Eh, sure, why not.
A multiplayer trailer. There sure are a lot of modes for this thing...
I wonder how much Sony had to pay for all these timed exclusives?
Good, here's some Far Cry 4. They get some exclusives too.
Shadow of Mordor is on. I can never get used to the music in these LOTR trailers.
Cool, it's Hideo freakin' Kojima. Looks like the carboard box is getting upgraded. Something about this narration feels really whimsical.
P.T. An interactive teaser?
Seems update 2.0 lets you upload to You Tube, and they're expanding sharing to something called Shareplay. Like Far Cry 4, it doesn't require your friends own the game to play with you.
They talked a bit about Morpheus, and now PlayStation Now. The European beta starts next year, in the UK.
He's going on to PlayStation TV. I'm not sure which of this we knew already, but it's coming out in the Pal territory with 3 digital games.
They're welcoming someone else to the stage, from Worldwide Studios. They're talking about Until Dawn.
Looks like Drive Club is getting some attention. They're starting off with a live race from various locations in the world playing behind him. I seem to zone out whenever driving game developers are talking...
Cool, Media Molecule is on stage. They want to port Tearaway to the PS 4, without directly porting the Vita-exclusive features. They're calling it Tearaway Unfolded.
Housemarque have something new. It's once-again a shoot'em up, except top-down. Its name is Alienation.
Wild, a new exclusive. It actually looks interesting.
And it's over. These guys probably live-blogged it better than me, so check out their timeline for a better picture. Or just rewatch it. They also have this conference-rating poll.
