Does Not Illustrate: The Creepy Undertaker

I wonder how long ago this image was placed.

All the image shows is a sinister smiling half-face and long-nailed hand sliding down a vertical surface. Is there anything whatsoever to indicate that this fellow is an undertaker, or even associated with death? No, no there is not.

He's creepy, and I believe he's hiding behind the lid of a coffin. While it's certainly not a good image, I'm still going with Keep Until Better Image Suggested here. It's not misleading, and it's not entirely JAFAAC.

I can't tell he's an undertaker. He just looks like a weird guy opening a door. Can we get a better shot of him?

This image is far too ambiguous. Needs a better shot, at least.

Not only is it way too ambiguous and a textbook JAFAAC, it's badly artifacted.

My vote is Pull, classic JAFAAC. That could be a door, the corner of a wall, or any other vertical surface; there's nothing in the image to suggest that it's a coffin lid, or that he's an undertaker.

It's not completely vertical, though, and there's an angle at the top. Personally I have no idea who it is, so I'm guessing, but I can't see it as anything other than that.

Edit: Didn't find that much on a GIS. [1] and [2] were the only ones. Anyone familiar with the source to get a good screen/image?

The former isn't creepy, and the latter doesn't actually illustrate the undertaker part. As far as the image is concerned, it's just a name.

Part of the problem is that, at least as far as I've gotten... he's not very often shown doing any actual undertaking.

Still, the fact it's on a trope named "Creepy Undertaker" gives it a pass from me. I would like to see a less artifacted picture though.

Me too. It could be made less blurry during reduction to wikisize, at least.

I did find fanart, but I think they are too small and too dark, respectively.

If it illustrates the trope, yes.

The Undertaker has an image links page already. Look there.

And none of those are what the trope is talking about.

And 18.1 is very nearly not blurry... We could put it up but leave the thread open for more ideas, if any are forthcoming.

18.1 is the best so far and is good enough to go up on the page given the lack of the lack of anything better.

One more attempt with a brightened version I found. I have the manga page that has this scene, I'll try to get something from it shortly.

EDIT: Scratch the latter part, the dialogue doesn't help anything. It's in vol. 6, page 14 if anyone wants to take a look and weigh in.
