Yeah, this one must be a pain to find (I know redirects may help, but if one is looking through an index and sees this, one likely won't click it). Handshake Refusal is plenty good pending something more interesting.

Yeah, rename sounds in order to me too. I see the current name and my mind immediately jumps to "hand-off
" (definition #3 in particular), which is most certainly not the trope.

Handshake Refusal is clear, to the point, and far better than the current name. Is there enough consensus to resolve this?

There was a trope in YKTTW a few months ago titled 'Handshake Refusal'
about deliberately refusing to shake another character's hand. It turned out that we already had a trope which covered the idea under the title 'Hand Off', but a few of the commenters on the ykttw's page felt that 'Handshake Refusal' was a clearer name for conveying what the trope was about than the current title, with someone commenting that Hand-Off sounded like a trope about a character taking a bribe. The examples gathered were shifted over to Hand Off, the ykttw was discarded and troper WeAreAllKosh tried to get a rename going through Hand Off's discussion page
