Equestria Girls: A MLP:FiM Spin Off

I'm kinda hoping the synopsis is misleading and the Humane 5 only attempt to summon Princess Twilight, only to get Human-verse Twilight. Sunset convinces her she's The Chosen One, because obviously you need a Twilight Sparkle to complete your Mane Six set, but also because the musical counter spell can only be cast by a student of Princess Celestia, and since Twilight's the Alternate Self of one it should work out fine. But it doesn't, because this Twilight has lived a life without magic and wasn't a student of a sun demi-goddess, leaving it up to Sunset Shimmer to save the day...but does she want to? *Bum Bum BUUM!*

I hope that if there's a third film, there will be a scene where Sunset apologizes to the alicorn Celestia and decides to stay in Human Equestria since she feels so comfortable in the human world. I think it'll lead to some nice closure between the two.

The movie looks absolutely adorable. I'll probably watch a camrip online again like I did when the first movie came out. Also the music is awesome~

And then they get human!Twilight to take like one class from Principal Celestia to meet the criteria.

There's going to be a third book, so a third film is possible.

Actually, the third book is going to be adapting the Rainbow Rocks movie. The second book was an adaptation of those shorts, despite being called Rainbow Rocks.

...That's... needlessly complicated. And also dumb.

I wanna say "becuz money",but in all honesty it makes things a bit confusing.

That reminds me. I need to get back to writing "My Little" sometime.

Why does everyone look like they have scoliosis in this movie?

Jokes aside, I thought this movie was okay. Very clichéd, but kept my interest and had catchy songs. The second movie looks horrible and the colors on their posters make my eyes burn. The kids will like it though.

I'll probably still give it a chance...

@takashi. 0: The book wasn't even good either. Really, take the shorts, take some of the fun out of it, and randomly insert Trixie or Vinyl and you've basically got the gist of it. The only notable part I remember was Pinkie pouring so much glitter on the poster that it became a giant metal wall that the softball team, who was supposed run through it, crashes into.

To be fair you can't really capture the zainyness of the cartoons on paper.

Also, a bit funny in hindsight when we speculated about a sequel I proposed the premise of the Human Five and possibly Sunset using The Power of Rock that's so awesome it summons from beyond their dimension Twilight to their world.

I know, but I remember mostly liking the adaptation of the first movie. It too lost out on certain things due to the transition from film to text (mostly the musical numbers), but I liked a few things that were changed or added (like Flash and Sunset actually glaring at each other) and was for the most part a competent adaptation. Sure, the book is trying to tie together all the shorts, but there was something very off about it.

So basically the events of this movie are all Sunset Shimmer and the Mane Six's fault albeit indirectly if that clip is anything to go by.

Apparently, according to MK Toons on twitter, these characters weren't banished by Celestia. Who are they, and who banished them...

That makes me a little happier than it should. That's happening to me a lot tonight.

At first I was like: "yeah, okay, I'll see this, whatever." But now I'm rather looking forward to this. I think they've polished the flash puppets for this time around, too. I think they look nicer than the first EQG.

Also, I'm digging Sonata as the (potential) Perky Female Minion.

Am I the only one who doesn't like their voices? Kazumi Evans voices Adagio, but her speaking voice sounds odd. And the two other villains sound like background ponies from seasons 1 and 2.

Is one of them Cathy Weseluck?

And for a two minute opening sequence, our villains are the most normally dressed girls in the movie.

Those hoodies are made of the same stuff as a Bag of Holding. How else does Adagio keep that hair contained in there?

Also, I like that Sonata & Aria might actually have their own personalities instead of just being Adagio's minions.

In a twist, these girls were banished by Queen Chrysalis. There's only room enough in Equestria for one emotion draining singer, much less 4!
