Not seeing how that image is better. It looks like 4 different people.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanI think it's an improvement. A tiny improvement, but an improvement nonetheless.
Check out my fanfiction!Agreed; maybe just a crop of the cover showing Spidey's other alter egos?
The Spidey one is better because each of the identities is shown as half-Spider-Man, which really alludes to the fact that the characters are Spider-Man in disguise. The current page image is just a guy in costume.

The current one is textbook Just A Face And A Caption: "Here's a picture of a guy and a caption telling you why he's an example."
The Half-Spidey/half some other costumes on the suggestion at least indicates that the characters are somehow related.

...if you don’t love you’re dead, and if you do, they’ll kill you for it.Yeah, as the guy who thought of this trope and added the picture in originally, I think that the Identity Crisis is better than the current picture. So, you have my permission to replace it.
^ That is extremely bad form. The opinion of the "guy who thought of this trope" carries the same weight as any other person's opinion, and that permission was neither requested nor is it required. No one "owns" any article.
Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan.I did not say I owned the article. I only said that I thought this up and added the image to tell people who I was, nothing presumptuous intended. I only said the word "permission" to let people know that I didn't mind at all. I should have said "you have my support" or "you have my backing", rather than permission.
My bad if I offended anybody. Thank you to the above troper for pointing out my error.
I mean, I didn't even launch this thing so it's definitely not all mine.

While his permission does technically mean diddly-squat beyond being another vote in favor, I don't think he was showing any inflated ego or anything that'd warrant that kind of response. :I
Moon◊Evidently I don't think that.
Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan.I seriously wasn't trying to be rude. I was just stating my opinion. My impoliteness was totally accidental and I know that my vote is just as good (or bad) as yours.
I have to admit, I had a mental record scratch moment with that comment, but having never seen Fantasy Liver in here before that I can remember, I just chalked it up to an unfortunate choice of words. With that, I suggest we drop the matter and get back to the actual discussion. *insert pointed looks*

Thanks. It really was just an unfortunate choice of words.
Anyway back to the issue. I like the Identity Crisis pic but I feel that there's better ones out there. It doesn't necessarily have to be from Spider-Man either.
I've gone ahead and put a 350 px crop of the Identity Crisis cover on the page...I'm good to lock this up, but we can keep looking.

Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan.
Excellent. Should we add a caption?
I'd prefer it as "Who was that strange, masked man?"
Check out my fanfiction!I like that one.
20's added. Locking up.
The Wikipedia page for Spider Man's Identity Crisis series has an excellent image that I think would go excellently on the page. I posted in the discussion, but there tends to be more feedback here so...

The current image is Spider Man as one of these identities, but the only way to know that is from the caption. I feel like the cover on that page illustrates it quite well, and quite exhaustively.
