Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II dev Obsidian Entertainment wants to make another game in the franchise. They have in fact already pitched their idea to LucasArts, but then Disney came along.

Something taking place between Ep III and IV?

Hey, maybe at the very least they can make an official patch to KOTOR 2. :p

The posting patterns of other tropers are not the topic. Madrugada

I for one would love if they actually did the completion patch for Kot OR II, so, there's my two bottlecaps on the issue.

Hopefully the game doesn't take 3 hours to get interesting like KOTOR did.

Thanks for your response.

Anyway, I'm still holding out for a kotor 3 from these guys, or something. The Old Republic seems nice, but I'd rather they somehow go for a proper single-player continuation. And while their at it, release the rest of the Kotor 2 content that they weren't able to put into the game at release.

Well, they seem to want to make something between Episode III and IV. Please, just leave Vader, Palpatine, etc out of it. I'd rather see something that has nothing to do with the plotlines of the movies. At least not directly.

PS. They can't make a KOTOR 3.

RPS on Obsidian pitching SW to LucasArts.

Let it drop, please. Responding simply prolongs the derail. -Madrugada

So, this was about Star Wars brand cigarettes, right? I mean, that's the only thing smoke can refer to, right?

Or maybe it was about Disney setting fire to the Star Wars brand. Something like that.

In seriousness, I'm not averse to the idea. But it largely depends on what they have planned rather than just "OMG Obsidian's gunna make another Star Wars game!"

Like any other independent developer, Obsidian is constantly pitching games and I Ps and approaching Publishers. And then those pitches are rejected or the game gets cancelled.

This news is pointless until we get an official announcement and a release date.
