Just the extended opening. Baby Steven. Greg building them a house. Reading Steven a story (about SPACE!). Pearl's first part, or rather, Rose's part as sung by Pearl, really gets me, but all of them do. The part where the Gems show off their glow, and Steven can't just yet, and then we're treated to a montage of all the little steps of his growth, all those natural, gradual progresses crammed in an instant, and then his big, exultant jump. And then the Homeworld Gems (Yellow Diamond Especially, what cold eyes!) menacingly overwhelming the background while the Crystal Gems sing in chorus that it won't be easy but they won't be doing it alone.

Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.I feel kind of stupid for just now realizing that Ruby is the reason that Garnet can swim in lava.
Sapphire could help with that too, by cooling it down a bit..
What I think is more cool is that Garnet can do lightning sometimes. Because (and, correct me if I'm wrong, I am not a physicist or a meteorologist) lightning happens when hot and cold air collide.

Something like that sounds right. If so, nice.
Tornadoes are formed when hot and cold air collide. The way lightning forms still has something to do with the cold though.
Lightning happens when frozen bits of raindrops at the top of storm clouds collide together, and form an electric charge. Eventually the cloud fills with enough of these electric charges for lightning to strike.

Yellow Diamond is sinister as hell. I can't wait until she actually shows up.
New character side-eyes you
That actually sounds like a really cool way of using clips with original animation.
This is just a "casual" kind of picture.

Garnet's cool on her own without lightning, ice or fire. I think the swimming through the cold ocean depths and in lava make her immune with Ruby and Sapphires powers, but it's a case of Discard and Draw being physically stronger and gaining enhanced Future Vision.
Are gems particularly susceptible to temperature anyway? Just wondering if Garnet has been stated explicitly to be more resilient in that regard.
It's probably worth considering whether fusions necessarily get all the powers of their component gems. Sardonyx, for example, possibly can't use Future Vision due to the missing central eye, unless it merged with Pearl's gem or something.

3DS Friend Code: 0018-0767-4231Garnet says she's the only one who can swim in lava.
Lava still hurts mang, and unless it causes pain or freezing...being resistant towards significant temperatures is just due to cartoon logic because it actually should effect them somewhat.

YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie.Sardonyx has five eyes, it's just that Garnet's forehead eye is covered by Pearl's gem.
I don't mean Pearl's gem is removable, I mean Sardonyx has a fifth eye inside of her head.
Y'know, with how much crossover there is between the two fandoms, I'm surprised I haven't come across any fanart of the gnomes from Gravity Falls standing on each others' shoulders trying to pass themselves off as Garnet.
Insert witty 'n clever quip here.Believe it or not your incredibly specific request is a recurring thing in the Crystal Pines AU. There it's Jeff and Schmebulok are the equivalents of Ruby and Saphire and they form Stanford the Garnet equivalent.
The Crystal Caverns A bird's gotta sing.Cool.

HIS POWERS DEPEND ON HIS EMOTIOAL CLARITY!
Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that. And it's not just the shield. ALL of his powers depend on his emotional state. Personally, I thought that was obvious when I first watched the episode.
Pretty much, right? He ages depending on his mood. He originally couldn't summon his shield unless he was feeling great love. When Greg tricked Steven, he lost all confidence in his ability to heal, and so he couldn't heal anyone any more.

Yeah, I thought that was the case as well, obvious.
Yet I've seen a lot of people get confused when Pearl definitively says he lost his healing powers in "The Test".
I want to see Pearl eat something just because it'd probably be hilarious.
