Personally I like Garnet better, she's mysterious, she has a nice slick design and sweet god that accent and I like that, but I can see why Amethyst is a favorite to some, she's fun and rambunctious. Besides some guys do like chubbier girls, just a matter of tastes I guess.

The graceless warrior, wielder of the edgeless blade, prophet of the old religions, writer of fluent nonsense, saviour of soul and song. Some guys like I for example. Though Garnet is extremely hot too, but media rarely puts out gals like Amethyst as attractive. The narrow viewpoint is depressing.
Besides, she can be ton a of fun. Shame about her lack of care for anything that resembles consequences.

The Blog The ArtMore questions about Steven! Let's discuss!
Dakota's blog An odd agent of justiceI don't know who Commander Safe-For-Work is, but...
I got to thinking about Connie's appearance when I read our Characters page and noticed that the only other major characters who don't have cheeks that stick out to one side are the original Crystal Gems. Also the one other character I've seen who has the same kind of nose as Connie is the postman from the first scene of "Cheese Burger Backpack", though I doubt they're related, from what we know about Connie's family. But hey, it was fun to watch that episode with all the distorted faces again, where sometimes Steven had giant eyes or a receding hairline, or sometimes Pearl had kissy lips or looked like Dexter's Laboratory or something! Also I noticed the last thing Steven did before packing Mr. Queasy was throwing out a first aid kit, and...
Wait, when Steven said "I broke it," did he mean he broke the Moon Goddess Statue and pretended he still had it, or did he mean he broke the Sea Spire by leaving the statue behind? I didn't see it lying on his bed... But he did own a portrait of someone with fish fins on his face!
Did they just rip off Bleach?
Well, that was one of the oddest episodes since Cat Fingers.
"An indirect kiss"
Now I get it!
Connie's expression means shits about to go down, which I will consider as the season finale.
Dakota's blog An odd agent of justiceConnie and Steven have an interesting relationship. You can still tell that she's extremely self-conscious about being an ordinary person who is friends with someone so extraordinary. Steven, as always, is either oblivious or doesn't seem to believe the difference matters. Or both at once, more likely.

"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain. That was a nice episode.
YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie.Okay, so Rose probably kept her eyes closed in order to keep them nice and moist.
That was... a strange episode.
You know a show is terrifying when the changes Amethyst were going through were mild compared to pretty much every episode. It annoyed me that she didn't take her injury seriously because I thought this would be an episode where she actually learns some responsibility.
Also, the whole "Why can't I cry" part touched me because I often have trouble crying about sad things (except for that scene in Wreck-It-Ralph) and I often find it hard to comprehend that people are dead because it doesn't feel like they're gone.
Crying is hilarious because I can't do it naturally.
YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie.Amethyst cares not for "self-preservation"! Oh, and back when there was just the preview of her swollen eye, someone posted a performance of Uncle Ruckus's theme music with it. I bet if I reverse all that backmasking, it'll turn out to be all sorts of silly rants about how Gems are the inferior race or something.
Man healing saliva.
Guys, Steven can heal people with true love's kiss. He is a true Disney Prince.
I liked this episode. We got more world building AND more character development (not for Amethyst, sadly.)
Man, I thought the Gem's gems would be tougher than that. It's a miracle they have lived this long if a mere fall can crack one.
...Isn't it a little weird that Rose's sanctum was full of statues of herself? I'm starting to think maybe she was a bit egocentric. Also, obese. But hey, as Amethyst proves, overweight ladies can be attractive.
Kudos to the writers for subverting our expectations on how Amethyst was saved. Throwing in a fake scene was just cruel, though. Boo!
Hey, you are right! I guess that is what the ending references!
Anyone know what Amethyst was saying backwards yet?
#IceBearForPresidentIn chronological order:
- Hey guys, what are you doing on the beach?
- Ugh, I'm going home.
- Hey, if your body can't cry on its own, you gotta make it cry
- The vines are coming to life and they're going to kill Steven, just so you know
- Don't worry or anything, I'm gonna be-
- Uh, a little help?
- Cheer up will ya?
Think that's right, if not, I'm sure someone's reversed the audio by now.

It doesn't suck just because you hate it.Wow, great for Steven! That's a pretty amazing power.
Loves feel-good animation a whole lot. That episode was so cool. And hey, an episode where he Gems solved a problem.
First of all, Holy wow, Rose Quartz was a BABE.
Second of all, wow , she was super special, wasn't she? With her whole empathic connections and love of all living things and healing powers it's no wonder Steven got a shield, the family is all about protecting and helping the ones you care about most. It's... It's so sweet.
And man, all that genuine pathos about Steven not only unsure how to feel about a parent he's never met but also the whole legacy he has to live up to. It's really a huge weight he has to carry; especially with how much the gems clearly miss Rose, I wonder if they feel as though they got saddled with so little at the cost of their idol.
I mean, I doubt they resent Steven but you gotta wonder, especially considering what his birth cost them...
So, Connie is really great. She and Steven are just cool overall together. I did almost think they were going to kiss but I guess the title made it obvious what was gonna happen there. I totes feel her though. I'd probably still wear glasses even if my vision was fixed. They're just a part of my identity at this point.
You know, Pearl was a nervous wreck, she was practically having a psychotic break. It was mostly hilarious, until you begin to realize that she is basically emotionally unequipped to lose yet another gem. That's probably why she was so dang clingy and sycophantic to Garent (I mean, more than usual) this episode. I mean, besides the other reason.
@Sijo, I can totally buy that at that distance and the velocity she was gaining along with her body weight pressing the gem as it struck the rock, I can totally see it cracking. It was the walking into the bramblethorns exacerbating it that made me lose my suspension of disbelief. Also, obese is such an ugly word, especially since Rose she clearly isn't.
The Blog The ArtThe statue must have been modeled on her wearing one of those dresses that makes your butt look big.
Ah, so you went back and saw my not-racist comparison? Also, why is it that Garnet seems to be the most "developed", but we get more guys howling for pudgy Amethyst most of the time?
