Are you're saying all 104 episodes were renewed at once? If I remember correct, each set of 52 was renewed like a year apart.

Yeaahh I think my memory of when the seasons were announced is fuzzy, so I just went with that thought.
Jawbreakers on sale for 99¢My roommate is rewatching the show to catch up on all the bombs she missed and rewatching Sworn to the Sword really helps contextualize the recent bomb.
Forever liveblogging the AvengersSo the crew again brought up the joke that Steven Universe is a sequel to No Need for Greg (a play on Tenchi Muyo!, which translates to "No need for Tenchi"), and I'm just actually fully getting it.
The original OVA series was called Tenchi Muyo!, while a later installment in the franchise (albeit not in the same continuity) is a TV series called Tenchi Universe.
Oh I thought you meant that the woman Tenchi settled down with turned into a stone attached to their baby... Did that happen? I never watched the actual sequel series.
So the show really should be called Greg Universe then?
Close enough.
Originally, the events of "Steven's Dream" were going to be covered in two episodes: the first also had Steven going to Rose's room to ask about the dream, while the Korea was long enough to be most of the second, called "Steven Abroad". Then they decided they wanted to get to the outer space trip sooner, and so "Storm in the Room" became a later episode and the trip was cut down to a montage.
I think this was better for the pacing of the Out of This World arc and the plot of "Storm in the Room". Connie's stressing out over mom was a way better lead in than Steven's dream of the palanquin—why would he ask try to ask Rose about dream powers that she didn't have?
"Steven Abroad" would have had a subplot about the Forbidden Zone around the palanquin. Finding out how people treat gem sites outside of Beach City is interesting, but the podcast made it sound like they couldn't think of a legitimate reason why people would avoid it so much.
Didn't have or just nobody would recall her having.
YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie.I just remembered this and was thinking about it, but why is Sadie's Song before Catch and Release in the Recap page? It was supposed to air after it.
Jawbreakers on sale for 99¢And it doesn’t matter anyway—the recap pages are in actual (US) airing order.
I believe either Lauren or Raven said it in a tweet way back before it aired.
Jawbreakers on sale for 99¢Speaking of airing order, Zap2it has TV airdates for the six episodes currently on the app (two per Friday starting on the 15th), and TV Guide corroborates the first two. If all of them are accurate, color me surprised that they're actually doing non-Christmas Episode premiers more than a week into December.
Both have "Gemcation" before "Raising the Barn", so we should eventually switch those two recap pages.
Really, it makes much more sense that way—if "Gemcation" is set between "Raising the Barn" and "Back to the Kindergarten", everyone is apparently completely ignoring Peridot holed up in the bathroom.

You know I'm actually curious whether or not "Gemcation" takes place before "Raising The Barn", as while it being before does explain why they didn't, say, show Peridot coming along or one have one of the Gems going into the bathroom to tell her they'll be gone for a few days, RTB has Steven with his phone at both the beginning and end of the episode.
Jawbreakers on sale for 99¢Is Steven coded Jewish?
My various fanfics.I think that might be up to interpretation.

I'm finally caught up with the show again.
Connie's new haircut is adorable.
Her haircut is very cute.
Trust you? The only person I can trust is myself. Why yes, it indeed looks exactly the same.
That's rare...
YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie.I think they changed some colors and swapped the shoulders, but Garnet does look almost exactly the same.
Jawbreakers on sale for 99¢I was going to say, they seemed to have nailed it the first time they put pen to paper.
Although being spontaneous/messy was kind of the point, so maybe they wanted to avoid overdesigning.
Oh whoops, misremembered the thing about seasons 2 and 3. My bad! I was originally talking about the original, 52-ish episode seasons though.
