Tuef: also a good choice, but you gotta admit "Iron Man"'s epic riff in the intro is perfect for power armored-asskicking.

Personally I'd prefer something like this.

Fallout and metal don't mix well, in my opinion. Better to have something with a bit of swing in it.

Eh, fair enough. While Fallout kind of does mesh with metal, on account of all the superviolence, I do agree swing fits a bit better.

Though, if we're going Big Band, can't go wrong with some Cab Calloway.

I still wish they used La Vie En Rose somewhere, but I guess the Ink Spots are just too good to pass up.

I remember once, while playing New Vegas, I created a 40s/50s station on Pandora just to give me some variety while playing since I was growing weary of the game's songs on repeat - and by sheer coincidence, "Big Iron" started playing at some point which gave me a good chuckle.

I might actually try and avoid using Power Armor all together though. Just give me some reinforced leather armor and I'll be good for most of the game, I'm sure.

As long as I have face concealing helmet/mask, I'll be fine.

Really, how about some light armor that is not basically a few points better than being naked/wearing civilian attire? I can understand the trade off, but every now and then I just find myself stripping down entirely when there's nothing else.

Then again I play a very specialized Backstabbing and Sniping role, so maybe it's not all that bad.

I typically get heavy armor because I feel like if the armor doesn't have the highest DP, it isn't good armor.

I'd love the heavy armors, but that speed reduction makes traveling to undiscovered locations became real boring. Especially when you gotta have your big weapon ready when holstering it means risking a 3-5 second waiting time before you can prepare your cannon.

Imho, power armour should remove the big gun slow.

It only makes sense.

@Gigantus: Light armor in New Vegas, at least, usually was significantly better than being naked. I don't know what game you played.

Even leather armor, with its 6 DT makes a big difference.

I don't know man, then again I spent a lot of time setting up ambushes and sticking to the shadows to actually get hit by small arms to notice a difference.

IIRC you can build up more then six points of DT while naked through perks.

Yeah, and then when you wear leather armor you have 12 DT. It makes a difference.

I mean, maybe it's just me being used to my ultra-deadly mods, but I'm pretty sure even unmodded having light armor saved me plenty of times.

Can't forget stuff like the Datura drink I think it's called from Honest Hearts, which is totally useful and not at all a waste to brew up instead of the poisons.

And the subdermal armor implant. That, Toughness x2, geck-backed reinforced leather armor, large wasteland tequila, and Med-X made my guy in New Vegas, Mad Mark, damn near invulnerable to small arms.

Speaking of DT, do we know what kind of damage system Fallout 4 is going to have? New Vegas' Damage Threshold system was such an improvement over Fallout 3's pure DR.

Just Damage Resistance if that earlier Power armor picture is to be believed.
